Hangspace Reunion

I met Pierre at my first job right out of college (Modem Media). Right at the end of 1999, I moved from Connecticut to NYC and the three of us started a company called HangSpace.com. (The idea was to create a place online where artists could upload mp3s to showcase their music and get feedback from A&R reps at record labels). The idea was very similar to what MySpace would eventually become four or five years later...the internet wasn't really big enough yet, and record labels weren't in enough financial trouble yet to have much interest in what we were trying to do. After two and half years of trying to get traction, we called it quits in March of 2001 after our funding dried up after the dot com bubble burst.)

After spending 80 hour weeks together for 18 months, after the company dissolved, we didn't see much of each other for a year...
