tagged together in 7 photos tree + la plaza cultural !tree× !la plaza cultural× On Friday morning I awoke to the sound of the Parks department cutting down my favorite Willow tree in La Plaza Cultural. The tree's roots had been damaged by salt water when the neighborhood flooded during hurricane Sandy and they were worried about it eventually falling over and hurting someone. Pretty, right? I ate the all summer! Friday I went over to La Plaza and noticed that the peaches were in! Love me some local Manhattan peaches! I'm not 100% sure, but maybe this is some of London Kaye's earlier yarn-bombing work? Took Maddy for a stroll through La Plaza and noticed that someone had recently knit a sweater for one of the trees inside! So cute!
