Election Night
Whoa, remember when no one was sure if Obama would get elected and we'd be stuck with John McCain and maybe even Sarah Palin if McCain dropped dead? Those were crazy times. Here are the photos I took on that historic election day.

As bad as things are, I can't help feel like they'd be a lot worse if there was a McCain/Palin dream team in charge. No one likes Obama because he's one of the only people willing to admit that we're in some serious fucking shit and that the sun is setting on America's empire. This isn't even news. Shit has been going on for YEARS - and we've finally got someone who wants to try to start addressing this mess issue by issue. I don't think it's going to be easy, and it may not even be possible, and while I'm not a huge Obama fan, I find his realism refreshing and prefer it toa couple of half-witted charlatans whose only advice is to wrap ourselves in the American flag, close our eyes and keep pretending that if we can just kill these gosh-darned terrorists and stop gay marriage that the shit's not going to hit the fan. But hey, that's probably why I live in New York City.

Leave the politics out of it. Your blog is great without this. bama has been (is) a disaster, True McCain probably wouldn't have been much better on the economy but we he wouldn't have ramped the deficet up so much. A poor choice by America. And by the way Ed it was not W that got us into this. Blame can be shared for the last several presidents. If the government would quit trying to make things "fair" for everone we'd all be better off. But O sure did not fix anything. he aggravated the problem. Well. enuf political stuff, there are plently of blogs to handle that.

Yes, leave the politics out but listen to my rambling, uninformative speech about politics.
Love the murals!
