a person in 770 photos ellen On Monday afternoon we got together to celebrate Meredith's birthday! Brunch gang! Awww. That afternoon, a bunch of us met up for brunch in the restaurant my apartment (The Wayland). Took a lil break to enjoy the view of the river. We walked all the way around the big loop... It was really cold and windy by the water. ...and drove up to see Ellen! Josh wanted one more go! Juliette wanted to try next! We played a nerdy game I like called The Quiet Year... ...and we drove out to Gurj & Jared's lakehouse to bring in the New Year! After working up an appetite, we headed over to the nearby Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Fried Macaroni & Cheese balls. Mmmm. This was so much fun and so much more difficult than I thought it would be. Definitely would like to do it again! ...meet up with Ellen and go INDOOR SKYDIVING! Small dog party! Excellent Sunday hang. ...getting to rest her face on Meredith & Ellen AT THE SAME TIME. On the drive back to NYC we stopped off to visit Ellen & Hans! <3 There's always that one person... I kind of love all these pics. Late night somehow the bag... Love all these ladies. Birthday gang! ( Oh man, I'm writing this 4.5 years later in late December of 2021 in the midst of the Omicron wave of covid and seeing all these people I love in one place makes me long for this to all be over and to be in a room with so many people I love again.) Lizzy was there and brought over my copy of her book so she could sign it for me! Thanks, Lizzy! Congrats on the book! <3 ...for a big gang hang brunch! Ellen took us for a nice long hike along the trails behind their house! Double doggies! ...with Matt to visit Ellen! ...where we were treated to an indoor fire and a giant hot loaf of Hans' famous homemade bread with MANY CHEESES. Ellen & Hans we LOVE YOU. I'm writing this in January of 2021 in the post-Covid era and it's nice to see all these people just chillen in a room. This camera sort of sucked in low light. Cell phones were eating away at the camera market and they started putting in cheaper light-sensing chips! Anyway, still sort of love the pics! We love you, Ellen! <3 Make a wish! ...sing Happy Birthday to Ellen! ...Ellen's birthday (a few days early). Amanda, Ellen & Piper. Went north out of the city to visit Ellen and Hans at their new home for the first time! Congrats, you two! Meredith was there and was one day away from leaving for her trip to Myanmar to visit Jack . On Saturday evening, Ellen and I went up to Meredith's to celebrate her birthday! On Wednesday evening, Ellen, Hans, Amanda and I went to the Rubin Museum of Art to see... On Monday evening I brought Maddy over to Ellen's for a dog hang. Make a wish! (Which was probably to leave NYC really soon!) Happy birthday, Ellen! And when the birthday girl was least expecting it... On Friday night I cabbed over to the West Village for Ellen's birthday! On Saturday morning, we checked out and said farewell before splitting up into separate cars for our drive home. Here's to a brand new year - love you all lots! ;) ...and spent the evening doing puzzles and having a mellow evening together. We ordered dinner in... We packed up later that afternoon and drove to a nearby hotel so we could enjoy one more night out in the Hamptons before driving home. Headed back to the house. A little after 2pm, Ellen drove over to the East Village and picked me up. Feel lucky to know all of you! (And sad that as I write this 2 years later most of you don't live in NYC anymore!) Happy November 2015! Before the month was over, we headed back to Hans & Ellen's for ONE LAST FEASTIN. I think Hans was out of town so it was a potluck style dinner. ...and Piper and The Dude picked me up... On Saturday Ellen & Hans... Everybody laughing at how The Dude decided to sit at the table with us. ...before getting cavewoman on her drumstick! Thanks for driving, Ellen. And for having for having such an accommodating lap. This is such a next level move to be casually driving around with two dogs on your lap. Hahah. She arrived with Piper and The Dude and I rolled up with Maddy and Edie.
