Congrats on the book! <3 After the panel, attentees lined up to have their copy signed by Lizzy! Congrats, Lizzy! So awesome to see your book born after so many years of hard work! Her book panel was moderated by Rolling Stone's Rob Sheffield, Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and James Murphy from DFA & LCD Soundsystem! It was, by far, the most well-attended book release party I've ever been to! So cool to see that crowd that turned up! Back in September of 2015, Lizzy came to my aparment to go through hundreds of my old music and nightlife photos as candidates for her then in-progress book! Five of my photos ended up making it into the final book.... ...and I was excited to see them in print! (From the night that Madonna came and DJed MisShapes ....still bonkers to remember that that happenend) ...for the book release party for Lizzy's book, Meet Me In the Bathroom! ...to the Strand Bookstore... On Tuesday Lizzy came over to my apartment and we spent the afternoon going through lots of my photos for a book she was working on about the NYC rock scene in the 00s. (The book, Meet Me in the Bathroom , was released in late 2017 and featured five of my photos!). Congrats, Lizzy! Ran into Lizzie & Gurj! It was a pretty great house party. I mixed way too much booze with way too much weed and ended up puking on the roof at 2am. All of Gideon's stuff had already been sent ahead to LA already so he'd been camping in the bedroom. Haha. Indoor party scene! Last song of the night. Lizzy and Gideon. Lizzy! Lizzy was there wearing her sunglasses at night. Lizzy Goodman was there in all her red-lipped glory. Lizzie (of Elle Girl fame!) was there putting her trademark red lipstick on Antony Ellis (aka - Posh Tony). Woot. On Monday afternoon I had lunch with the lovely Lizzie... Marc Spitz is a fucking communist treehugger. (But that shouldn't stop you from buying his last book which I loved!) That Guy and Lizzie. Afterwards we hit the Red Bull house where we drank for free, ate for free and dorked out on some catch up email. It's three fucking text-addicted NERDS! And after the show? After the Apartment show, we ate huge meal that forced us to go over to Lizzie, Marc and Nikki's room for a meal-recovery nap. Sia, Sarah and Lizzie. ...and redefining the term "wiggity wasted." When I came back even later on in the night - lookee what I found! Antony, Niki and Lizzy discussing the meaning of life... Lizzy's realization that although it might take me over a year, one day, these pics would make there way to the national interweb. On Saturday morning I went around the corner to meet up with Lizzie and Sarah for brunch at TeaNY. Niki and Lizzie. Lizzie & Ben (who gets so caught up in his karaoke jams that he has to take clothes off). Niki and Lizzy make me want to become a Mormon (just so I can make both of them MY BRIDES!). Niki, Karen and Lizzie. In the middle of the Von Bondies set, I saw Lizzy and her boyfriend (and fellow Spin writer) Marc up in some fancy private balcony that overlooked the stage.
