Friday morning snuggles with the sleepiest ween. Good morning! Messy ears... We got back to my hotel at 6:30 and packed up our things to head to Cancun. Said farewell to my favorite lil beach bed. (whispers: I'll miss you) Finally came inside around 10pm. Day 3: I think I spent almost the entire day on this swinging beach bed... Felt good to have some sunshine seep into my skin. I got new memory foam mattresses to replace the old bunk bed mattresses! Everyone was still conked out. Later in the evening, we made a run to the camping section of Walmart. Max is an early riser and is always wanting me to hurry up and get out of bed. Max always chooses me to do tuck in and story time. Bedtime! ...and checked into my hotel at the Rivoli Jardin. Celebrated Father's Day on Sunday with my favorite lil daughter. Such a happy fuzzworm! Rainy morning ween snuggles. ...spent some time cuddling with Maddy like she likes. A Monday of being self-employed. Slept in and... Back in September, Grant had gotten me a free bed from Essentia that was supposed to be great, but it was too soft and was giving me a lot of back pain....so on Saturday I got rid of it.... ...and tried out a new bed from Keetsa. Still digging my Vin Ganapathy drawn bhavacakra mural! Morning cuddles with Maddy makes the winter better. New Year, New Us! Morning buddy. Was designing a desk / murphy bed sideways pulldown! Made it to Denver hotel by midnight. In addition to a full bedroom upstairs, there are four bunk beds.... ...and unbox it! Grant hooked me up with a fancy new foam mattress through his writing connections! He helped me lug it upstairs... Went to the Essentia showroom to try out a new mattress that Grant was going to get me a hook-up on! My new loft-less bedroom is coming along nicely! Morning cuddles with light-bulb head! I took a little reading break (ok, nap break) with my lil fuzz-whistle. My morning view from my adhoc living room bed! Nice to not have to climb a ladder to get into bed (but weird to be sleeping on the floor again!) Ta-Da! Moved the bed back into my brand new blue bedroom! Cleared everything out and vacuumed, and then it was time to disassemble the bed! That meant that it was time to take apart the excellent loft Pauly built and installed the week before Meredith and I moved into this apt in April 2010 ! After three and a half years of living alone, I decided I was ready to trade in some apartment storage space to not have to climb a ladder every time I get in or out of bed! ...and an early night's sleep! Wiener dog waiting for bedtime. Lol. FUUUUUUUUU.... ...and drove up to Sante Fe by myself for a few days! Slumber party! Woke up at 8:50am on my 39th birthday and this tiny genius stretched and then collapsed over my arm. Crowding in Sarah's bedroom like old times. Sarah fell asleep cuddling The Dude SO HARD! Such puppy goodness. We moved the airbed as close to the stove as we could without melting it. Five in a bed if you go sideways! Took some pictures of the white walls in my bedroom... After much more single-handed wrestling, the new bed was positioned and ready for the unfurling! Tried a new Casper bed. ...the women all sneaked upstairs to tuck Matt into bed! Catching up on life. Very happy to know this guy. I packed my bag and decided to head somewhere new while the weather was being cooperative. Their $20 room turned out to be really crappy room, but since it was just me, myself and I, the three us all voted on savings. I have no problems spending money on consumables like food and drinks & adventures, but I hate spending money on hotels. I went to bed a little past midnight with a plan to get up early the next morning and take a day trip into neighboring Guatemala to see the massive Mayan site, Tikal. Not bad for $20 a night. Spent the evening listening to the sound of the pouring rain on my room's corrugated, sheet-metal roof... The room was great. After dropping off my stuff... ...and we had drinks with Penelope and Iovana. Spent Wednesday cleaning my apartment. I got down low to look under the bed, but there was no one there! Turn your back on that creep, Peaceful Jared! We kept imaging him waking up to see a stone face wearing his own glasses and laughing SO HARD. French bulldog statue and sleeping bust wearing Jared's glasses. Jared fell asleep first and someone got the amazing idea to start putting art in bed with him. New bedroom. While we were packing up, we noticed... We spent the rest of the morning napping, reading and hiding out from the rain. Brett & Amy preparing our bed! We had a nice relaxing evening of admiring the view. ...Hotel H20. You can choose between having a window that looks out onto the bay, or having a room with an aquarium-wall! Post-breffis nap. ...showed us to our room to see if it was to our liking. It certainly was! Our room. Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel for an early night jammy party. Matt and Jenny said their farewells and after they headed out we passed their room and couldn't help but notice... ...Rubano's masterful sound-dampening technique. Nice. Porno set bedroom. After a day of coasters and driving, this guy was calling me. Maddy likes to cuddle our sleepover buddies. GOODNIGHT! Haha. Goodnight! After getting my make-shift bedroom all set up... While Quinn and Sarah were cooking, I went on a little photo snapping spree to capture the ever-changing apt 3a. Morning! A little before 2am, Mer and I went down to the basement and inflated our air mattress behind the pool table. Quinn's childhood bedroom has been left perfectly intact and is a museum to the mid-nineties. So goddamn funny. Happy June 2010! Loft! Moving day!
