Friday, February 2nd

Late night Korean feasting from Boka....

Saturday, February 3rd

On Saturday I hopped in my trucked...

maddy — ...with my trusty sidekick...

ellen, maddy — ...and drove up to see Ellen!

After hanging for a bit, we drove to a huge park next to the Hudson for a hike.

ellen, me — It was really cold and windy by the water.

maddy — Maddy love a trail.

ellen, the dude — Took a lil break to enjoy the view of the river.

ellen — We walked all the way around the big loop...

...and then headed back to Ellen's to warm up by the fire!

Monday, February 5th

quinn s — On Monday, Quinn sent me the first working version of the crypto ping monitoring software we'd been working on! Always exciting to see something you dreamed up in your head turn into working software!

jane anne — Later that evening I met up with Jane Anne at Gruppo.

Tuesday, February 6th

On Tuesday I headed to Voray's new offices in mid-town.

Wednesday, February 7th

Hey hey! Guess who got a NEW BACK TOY?

Super-into this bad boy. Not for the faint of heart but great at loosening up tight erector spinae muscles.

next lev kev — Later in the evening, Kevin came over for some VR, some reiki...

next lev kev — ...and some dank BBQ from Georgia's East Side BBQ. We got the spicy Nashville sandwiches....

...AND. a brisket to share.

maddy, me — Spent the evening cuddling with my buddy on my biomat listening to podcasts.

Friday, February 9th

maddy — Woke up at 7am cozied up on the couch.

maddy — Doesn't want to go outside!

Got replacement filters for my...

...7-stage reverse-osmosis water filtration system.

Here is what the filters look like after 5 months of filtering NYC tap water!

Fresh one next to a gunky one. The old filters are so caked with sediment that they weigh almost 3x as much as the new clean ones!

Saturday, February 10th

On Saturday I took everything out of my bedroom so I could clean it really well.

Of course, this made my living room a total mess.

Gave the old pores a good mask cleaning while I was at it.

Sunday, February 11th

maddy, me — Maddy likes to smash her face against my face in the morning when she wakes up. ADORABLE.

Had a killer middle eastern breakfast and smoothie at Cafe Mogador.

Monday, February 12th

Morning morning with my light therapy box to stave off the winter blues.

Doing lots of chanting and noticed that I somehow started to get the same crazy-looking Glabellar lines (furrows between the eyebrows)....

padmasambhava — ...as the guy that I'm chanting to.

Tuesday, February 13th

While walking Maddy on Tuesday, I noticed there were papers strewn all over the street from a recently cleared-out bar on my block called Babel Lounge. This one caught my eye! Yikes! (I'm writing this in almost 5 years later in late November 2022 and the former Babel Lounge space is still empty).

Late afternoon light therapy...

maddy — ...followed by a bowl of Chex. Mmmm.

jane anne — Jane Anne came over for a late night pizza party.

maddy — Even Maddy went into a food coma.

Friday, February 16th

On Friday I went to the chiro and got cricked real good.

Got a haircut on the way home.

Watched the new Chris Rock special...

...and then stayed up late taking a few of my song sketches...

...and turning them into multi-track recordings in Garageband.

maddy — Oh, you're a rocker?

Saturday, February 17th

Saturday was my last day in NYC before a quick 5-day trip to Tulum I booked last minute! Went to Odessa for some pancakes and bacon.

maddy, next lev kev — Kevin came over in the evening for a hang and was perplexed that Maddy didn't get up to greet him when he arrived. (She saw me packing my suitcase and was depressed. Lol).

Saturday, February 24th

jane anne — Five days later and I was back from my Trip to Tulum! Met up with Jane Anne for another pancake breakfast at Odessa...

jane anne — ...and then went back to my place to give her a dreamcatcher I'd gotten her in Mexico. (Say what you will about Tulum, but NO DREAMS are escaping from there).

Sunday, February 25th

Spend Sunday afternoon working on this website...

....captioning photos from October 2015. Back in 2018 I was 2.5 years behind. I'm currently captioning February 2018 in November 2022...almost 5 years behind! Nooooo!

Spent the afternoon listening to The Higherside Chats (THC) podcast....DO HOLLOW EARTH CREATURES CONTROL EARTH???

quinn s — And then spend the evening reviewing the Quinn's latest release of my crypto ping signal trading software!

quinn s — Cool to see it storing all the trades over a period of time after a ping is sent out.

jane anne, jeibi — Later that evening I met up with Jane Anne & Jeibi...

jane anne, jeibi — ....to sing some karaoke at Baby Grand.

Monday, February 26th

maddy — Good morning! Messy ears...

...and messy hair!

Got my foam roll on...

...and then hit the gym. Trying to fight the winter blahs with lots of exercise.

Tuesday, February 27th

maddy, meredith — Went over to Meredith's for a hang with Maddy on Tuesday.

maddy — We put the cushions on the floor for Maddy so she doesn't jump off the couch a hundred times and hurt her wienery back.

vin — Later in the evening, I headed out to Zablowski's in Brooklyn to grab a few drinks with Vin.

Then we got a few slices and headed over to Brooklyn Steel...

...to see the JAWBREAKER reunion show!

me, vin — So excited!

I got into Jawbreaker in 1994 during my freshman year in college and didn't get a chance to see them before they broke up in 1996.

24 years later, I finally got to see them!

Lots of middle-aged men high-fiving each other. lol.

me, vin — Post-show happiness from these middle-aged geezers. It was worth the long wait!

Tuesday, February 27th

Picked up all my exercise toys so I could vacuum. I have quite the collection!

Busted out my inversion table and did some upside down hanging out.

Wednesday, February 28th

Went to Cafe Mogador for a cheer-me-up breakfast FEAST!

While eating my breakfast I spotted this Noam Chomsky lookalike looking for a taxi.

me, soli — That evening I went out to Brooklyn to celebrate Soli's birthday! Happy birthday, Soli!
