flux capacity
Went into Speakaboos to help with some product planning.
flux capacity
Helped build a Salesforce lead gen / sales funnel for one of my clients on Tuesday.
flux capacity
Snowy day in midtown at Speakaboos.
flux capacity
On Thursday I went into Slice for the afternoon.
flux capacity
...and helped them with some product strategy and go-to-market strategy.
flux capacity
On Wednesday I went into Speakaboos (an app that helps kids learn to read)...
flux capacity
After lunch, I reviewed the latest build of the crypto-price tracking web-software I was working on with Quinn.
flux capacity
And then spend the evening reviewing the Quinn's latest release of my crypto ping signal trading software!
flux capacity
Cool to see it storing all the trades over a period of time after a ping is sent out.
flux capacity
Temporary door signage.
flux capacity
On Tuesday I headed to Voray's new offices in mid-town.
flux capacity
On Monday, Quinn sent me the first working version of the crypto ping monitoring software we'd been working on! Always exciting to see something you dreamed up in your head turn into working software!
flux capacity
Tuesday afternoon I went into Voray to organize the process through which post-event feedback was collected.
flux capacity
The trading software ingested informational alerts on different cryptocurrencies from an API I'd subscribed to. I was never a big believer in any alt-coins....but I was super interesting in day-trading them as a way of acquiring MORE BITCOIN.
flux capacity
Spoiler alert - a few weeks after we got the first version of the software running....the bottom fell out of the alt-coin market (for the first time) and I decided to stop working on it. Lol. Was super-fun and interesting project for a while tho!
flux capacity
On Friday Quinn came over and we finalized a deal for him to write some custom crypto-trading software for me. Was excited to give him a check and officially kick things off after a few weeks of discussions.
flux capacity
Went into Voray on Monday and the office was a ghost town by 530. (Doh!) except for one sales dude who was still banging out calls like a boss.
flux capacity
...and to get their Sprint ceremonies scheduled!
flux capacity
...to help with their sales and activation process...
flux capacity
Back to Voray on Friday...
flux capacity
On Wednesday I went to Voray's fancy new office that overlooks Bryant Park
flux capacity
Plan for a plan with Brianna.
flux capacity
On Tuesday afternoon I took Lauren, one of my product managers at Voray, out for lunch.
flux capacity
...and then went over to Voray where Eric was proud to show off his baby-starter version!
flux capacity
On Monday I had to stop by both Slice and Voray. I love working with startups that are at different stages of growth and seeing how they change over time. On my way out of Slice, I took this photo of their impressive sales countdown board....
flux capacity
Bought a bunch of hardware wallets to help teach people how to take self-custody of their bitcoin.
flux capacity
Vin, "Hey, hey, take a picture of me." Me, "Why, what are you doing." Vin (whispers) "I'm Legolas." (I went ahead an linked that just in case there are any non-virgins who read this site and still want to be in on the joke).
flux capacity
...and David gave us a year-end speech!
flux capacity
Here's to another good year!
flux capacity
Afterwards, we all headed to a nearby restaurant....
flux capacity
...for our Voray holiday party!
flux capacity
...to Voray's employees and investors.
flux capacity
Cool to see the company grow!
flux capacity
On Wednesday afternoon, we had our year-end roadmap presentation....
flux capacity
Then went to a start-up advisory panel where I had been invited to speak as a guest.
flux capacity
I went ahead and got a custom, BTC-related phone number for my new (very short-lived) crypto consulting service I was playing around with.
flux capacity
Spent Friday afternoon at a LeagueApps product strategy offsite.
flux capacity
On Wednesday had a board meeting to review growth-plans with Voray's investors.
flux capacity
On Monday afternoon, I went into Voray's offices for a bit.
flux capacity
Thanks for having us, Mark!
flux capacity
flux capacity
Smoky goodness.
flux capacity
flux capacity
After dinner, Mark passed cigars out to everyone!
flux capacity
After our day session, Mark Gerson, one of Voray's main investors, had everyone over to his apartment for dinner.
flux capacity
On Tuesday afternoon, we had a Voray offsite with the whole team!
flux capacity
...all of the hiring and growth planning we'd talked through at our offsite earlier in the month.
flux capacity
Nice to take the team through...
flux capacity
flux capacity
Yassss.
flux capacity
Well-catered spread from Virgils.
flux capacity
Brianna went first!
flux capacity
And then we hit the lake again, this time to do some tubin!
flux capacity
Pretty great, off-site! Thanks for having me along, Voray!
flux capacity
...and whiteboarding session...
flux capacity
...outside on the deck.
flux capacity
Not a bad lil work day.
flux capacity
After we wrapped things up, we grabbed the boat and hit the lake to enjoy some sunshine!
flux capacity
...with a lovely view of the lake!
flux capacity
We had a 3-hour quarterly planning...
flux capacity
Tuesday afternoon session of Product Strategy whiteboarding over at Slice
flux capacity
Had a meeting to go in and meet with the MyPizza team, who had recently renamed the company to Slice!
flux capacity
On Wednesday evening I went out for drinks with the Voray team to celebrate Brianna's birthday!
flux capacity
Haha. Love these pics of carefree, Risky Business Vin.
flux capacity
Biked up to Voray and chatted with Vin for a bit (who I'd helped land a job at Voray).
flux capacity
Went into Voray for the afternoon and helped them whiteboard their sales process so they could set up Salesforce to better understand their sales pipeline.
flux capacity
I got Kevin a job working at Voray, one of my start-up clients and he was stoked on free food Thursdays. lol.
flux capacity
...giving an update on the company's growth to their investors and board members. I love that I get invited into start-ups and get to help them put together plans to grow and hire more people! So many exciting developments but all I could think about was...
flux capacity
...was anybody noticing that I basically eat the entire chocolate babka by myself????
flux capacity
On Tuesday I spent my afternoon at LeagueApps' board meeting...
flux capacity
flux capacity
Tuesday whiteboarding at Voray.
flux capacity
On Monday I went to Voray's new offices for work. Check out their awesome view of Bryant Park.
flux capacity
...to check out LeagueApps' annual charity basketball event "Ballin for Charity"
flux capacity
On Saturday I rode my bike down to the Pier in East River Park...
flux capacity
to the bowling alley in Hell's Kitchen.
flux capacity
More whiteboarding with Voray helping them map out their Salesforce process so they'd have better communication between their Sales & Customer Success teams.
flux capacity
Whiteboarding with Voray. Fun to help a start-up understand how they are currently identify, selling & acquiring new customers and where there are the best opportunities to improve.
flux capacity
Stopped by the OTAs closing dinner event on Tuesday...
flux capacity
Nice to see how my different software clients come up with different ways to try to memorialize the culture and the milestones of the business as they experience rapid growth.
flux capacity
...which they call the OTAs.
flux capacity
On Monday I spent the day with LeagueApps for the first of their two, semi-annual offsites...
flux capacity
Did some sketches for Voray on Thursday. You know it's an early stage start-up...
flux capacity
...if they've got me drawing product-page UX notes for the CTO!
flux capacity
Went into Voray to wrap up my work with them for the year! Thanks for having me! Fun to watch you guys grow!
flux capacity
Love me a workin lunch.
flux capacity
On Tuesday I went into Preo to help them do some road map work.
flux capacity
Went into Voray on Monday afternoon.
flux capacity
Spent Thursday afternoon at LeagueApps helping them plan to hire more staff! My favorite kind of work.
flux capacity
Went into LeagueApps and they got a new fancy logo on the wall.
flux capacity
flux capacity
We spent some time taking our pre-experiment guesses about the results...
flux capacity
...and mapping it against the actual results of the pilot we ran!
flux capacity
Then took all the data and put it into a presentation for their investors! (If you work at a start up that could use some help with product, don't hesitate to reach out!)
flux capacity
...breakdown and report the results of a recent product launch in Bogata I'd helped them plan
flux capacity
On Tuesday afternoon I went to Preo's offices to help them...
flux capacity
The very next day I got ANOTHER email from LeagueApps' CEO that they'd just broken the transaction record AGAIN! (I'm still working with LeagueApps 3 years later and I'm happy to report that in September of this year, we hit the milestone of the BILLIONTH dollar transacted on their platform!) All those almost-million dollar days add-up!
flux capacity
Headed into Preo in the afternoon to help their CEO map out a plan for the next month...
flux capacity
...with the rest of their team in Bogata.
flux capacity
Got an awesome email from LeagueApps' CEO that the company had just broken the daily transaction record for the 3rd Monday in a row. Nothing more satisfying to me than helping a startup company grow!
