Sunday, April 1st

Started the month off with a proper Odessa breakfast.

Stayed up late listening to this BANANAS 1992 interview with the legendary Bill Cooper (of Behold a Pale Horse fame)

Stretching my body and my mind.

An excellent, mind-bending two-hour interview from 1992 for anyone who's interested in early disclosure about a secret group of government insiders who are vying for a "new world order."

Monday, April 2nd

maddy — Sleepy ween.

Late night solo pizza party date with Lil Frankie's.

Tuesday, April 3rd

Shakshuka and a smoothie for breakfast at Cafe Mogador.

maddy — Couch time with Maddy.

maddy — Maddy loves my biomat.

fatty, meredith — On Tuesday night I met up with Meredith and Fatty...

matt — ...to see Matt's jazz trio...

matt — ...play in the East Village

Got home to find Maddy had racked-up another mouse kill.

Mice, please do not come here.

Wednesday, April 4th

The bloom in Tompkins means I've made it through another winter! <3

meredith — Wednesday night Meredith came over for a hang and an burrito.

Thursday, April 5th

vin — On Thursday morning, I spied this character on his way over to my apt.

vin — I met him downstairs and he was excited to show me the new geo location accessory he'd just bought to augment his Pokemon Go gaming addiction.

vin — The joy and the shame!

vin — We hit up Cafe Mogador for an excellent Middle Eastern lunch.

Went into Speakaboos to help with some product planning.

When I got home from work I decided to take the LSD someone had given me...

...and put it into a vial with a 100 drops of vodka to make it easier to microdose. (10 drops = 1/10th of a dose!).

Friday, April 6th

maddy — Took Maddy to the dog park to welcome in spring.

matt, next lev kev — Had a Friday night hang with Matt & Kevin.

Saturday, April 7th

Saturday deli breakfast.

Sunday, April 8th

On Sunday my neighbor's Dave & Bibi dropped off their dog Max with me for a few days.

Tuesday, April 10th

Caught up with West in Hawaii...

...and then got my fave pepperoni and pineapple pizza from Gruppo.

Wednesday, April 11th

I'd really been enjoying my drum classes with Craig so I purchased an electronic drum set so I could practice at home.

All set up to rock in the living room.

I also purchased this orbital sander, because this huge weightlifter guy at my gym showed me that it could also be used...

next lev kev — ...as a makeshift massage device! Lol. Kevin came over for a hang and a reiki trade and we worked out or knots in the weirdest way possible.

Friday, April 13th

maddy — Took Maddy on a nice long walk...

maddy — ...to East River Park.

Sent this meme to everyone I know that likes to laugh about cyber goths (who doesn't?). Then covid came and they all had the last laugh.

Saturday, April 14th

maddy — Not satisfied with mouse murder, Maddy set her sights on more exotic prey at the park the next morning.

Spotted this new VR store on my way...

...driving out to my home town in NJ to attend...

On my way home, I drove by the house I grew up in!

angela, jeff m — Got to see Jeff & Scott's mom.

And took a little detour to drive by my old high school. Memories!

Got home and played some drums.

Spent the evening learning Back in Black. So fun to play.

maddy — Maddy spend the entire night daring another mouse to show his face. She will literally sit like this for hours waiting if she smells one. Psycho dachshund!

Sunday, April 15th

New Jawbreaker shirt. I swore off wearing any printed shirts, but make the occasional exception.

meredith — Later that afternoon I picked up Meredith...

...to visit Cat & Bruno!

We had a lovely dinner together and then drove back late in the evening.

Monday, April 16th

maddy — Spent Monday afternoon hanging with these two ding-dongs.

Max was politely indignant about...

maddy — ...Maddy taking over his dog bed. Lol.

S'ok. You take big bed, I'll snuggle with Bunny.

Tuesday, April 17th

maddy, me — Tuesday was my last day with Max. Took a family photo to commemorate our time together.

maddy — After Max left Maddy was excited to have me all to herself again.

Wednesday, April 18th

next lev kev — On my last night in town before heading to Malta, Kev came over to hang and tried out my new drum set.

Saturday, April 28th

jane anne — The day after I got home from my trip to Malta, I went out to Brooklyn to see Jane Anne's new apt! Congrats on the new place, Jane!

jane anne — She customized her new sign just for me.

jane anne, me — We went out for a late lunch in her new neighborhood.

vin — Before heading home, I stopped off in Vin's hood to grab a few drinks.

Saturday, April 28th

maddy, me — Had a Maddy-centric Sunday. Morning cuddles.

maddy — She was so excited to have me home she followed me everywhere (including the bathroom).

maddy — Wants to nap on my lap while I'm reading.

Monday, April 30th

After 8 weeks of drum lessons, on our last Monday night....

akiko, atoma, grant, jane anne — ...our class put on a recital. Homies came through!

craig — Craig (our teacher) congratulating our class.

atoma — After we were done, Atoma got a chance to hit the kit.

atoma, craig — Thanks for being such a great teacher, Craig! I had so much fun!

jane anne, me, vin — Afterwards, Jane Anne and Vin joined me around the corner for a few celebratory drinks! Happy April 2018!
