I met him downstairs and he was excited to show me the new geo location accessory he'd just bought to augment his Pokemon Go gaming addiction. We hit up Cafe Mogador for an excellent Middle Eastern lunch. On Thursday morning, I spied this character on his way over to my apt. After the show we got a Korean feast. Later that evening I met up with Vin and we headed to... Met up with Vin at the excellent Tile Bar. Post-show happiness from these middle-aged geezers. It was worth the long wait! So excited! Later in the evening, I headed out to Zablowski's in Brooklyn to grab a few drinks with Vin. Vin headed out a little after 10pm as Kevin and I fired up another bag on the Volcano. Vin was mesmerized.... On Friday I met up with Matt & Vin and we took an archery lesson. 4 of them made by Vin. 2 of them mine. Vin, "Hey, hey, take a picture of me." Me, "Why, what are you doing." Later that evening I met up with Vin for dinner and drinks at Loverboy. On Saturday I saw that Vin posted a drawing of me from a photo of me sitting on the beach! Vin & Jane. Haha. On Sunday I met up with Dave & Felicia to celebrate Vin's birthday. Met up with Vin for a big breakfast at Odessa on Friday morning. Still digging my Vin Ganapathy drawn bhavacakra mural! Back in the beginning of January, I had commished Vin to draw me his interpretation of a bhavacakra. I showed him a few that I liked and explained the symbols and what it meant...7 weeks later he told me that he had a surprise for me...and came to my apartment with his drawing blown up huge and printed on silk! Vin came over to hang on Monday and I showed him the Small Spells Tarot book I'd recently gotten. Met up with Vin for lunch at Quantum Leap in the West Village. Jane Anne came by after a bit to join us for a drink. Back in the city that evening, I met up with Dave and Vin at Cherry Tavern ...to drink tropical drinks with Vin and catch up on the end of 2016! Miss you, Vin! <3 Vin had brought along his most-recent sketchbook and I went through it admiringly. Still my favorite artist! On Wednesday afternoon, Vin came over for a hang and we laughed about.... That night I met up wtih Vin and Nina for a bite to eat! Happy November 2016! So cute! I had to help Vin pick out which Dr Randy drawing had the best likeness because he had never seen Randy's face in 3D (only in photos!). After everyone left... All dressed up! Spent the evening hanging out with this guy. ...with this guy. As of 7pm, the park was ours to start setting up. Everybody lean in! Later that evening, we went to a rooftop deck of one of the Bowery Hotels. Vin, Jodi, Kat & Grant! Summer in NYC is my fave. Fast forward to almost two weeks later....I've returned from my RV Trip and that Saturday afternoon, Vin and I went up to midtown... I've know these two for a loooong time. Later that afternoon, I meet up with Vin and we hung out on the East River. Haha. Such buddies. Vin came by on Tuesday to visit with me and Maddy. On Saturday night I went out to Williamsburg to sing karaoke... Happy birthday, Vin! Went out to Williamsburg to celebrate Vin's birthday with Josh & Ken! ...and feasted at Parm! Met up with Vin on Friday... Vin came over on Tuesday morning... ...and we worked on editing the latest sketches from his... ...comic book about growing up in suburban CT. Vin on the wrestling team! On Thursday morning Vin came over again to work on the comic! ...and laughing about his drawings of his 14 year-old self. Spent the morning outlining terrible things that happened to Vin in his high school years... That afternoon, Vin posted this excellent drawing of me and Eric P, based on a photo of us from September 2015 And then we went through 15 pages of new panels... ...fun to look at his pencil line drawings and work things out before he inks them! We looked through some of his old comics about dating... On Monday morning Vin came over to work on a comic book about his adolescence that we'd started working on together! Went out late night with Vin. Vin came over on Monday morning for our weekly work session! Two and a half hours later, we were finished! ...paint my office! Vin came over on Monday afternoon to help me... Friday night drinks at C-tav with Grant, Vin and Maddy. We were the only two people in the theater! Happy December 2015! Got together Monday morning with Vin and talked about helping him create comic book with a bunch of funny stories from his high school past. Excellent place for a party! Later that night, I met up with Vin and we went to a house party at John's loft.
