Headed back upstairs to find my sleep mask and to try to get some sleep! Congratulations, Doug & Anni! <3
dressed up
Tuomo walked me back through the park towards my hotel and then we said goodnight!
dressed up
After I headed back to my hotel for a nap and to get dressed for the wedding! At 3pm I headed back over to the ferry.

Later that afternoon, we got dressed up for the wedding, threw our ponchos back on...
dressed up
Happy birthday, Caiti!
dressed up
Take 1.
dressed up
Awww, buddies.
dressed up
Later that evening I took the L train out to Brooklyn to meet up with Vin and hit a house party. While waiting for the train I spotted this guy dressed up in all pink!
dressed up
When everybody is all dressed up my parents like to take a group photo so they can include it in the Holiday email my dad sends around (which is like the newsletter version of this site for older people. Haha).
dressed up
...and hopped in a cab over to the west 40s.
dressed up
Auto-timer to get myself in!
dressed up
Here's Ellen showing off her evening slipper-wear.
dressed up
A little after midnight, Amanda came over and Mer got dressed up for the party (holy moly!).
dressed up
Headed back up off the beach!

Meredith even found me a pair of spats!
dressed up
The gentlemens.

And there was Gatsby himself. Per our host's request, we made it down to the parking lot by 9:30 sharp...
dressed up
Around 9ish, everyone started getting dressed up for the big dinner party. Mer & Matt in their Gatsby best.
dressed up
Our invite was very specific about taking the Gatsby theme seriously and coming up with a good costume. Here's mine!
dressed up
Monkey and Meredith.
dressed up
:)
dressed up
Dogs are barking.
dressed up
All dressed up. <3

Before moving on to the next leg of the adventure, here are my favorite pictures from the photobooth that Siege set up at the party. Fatty! (All black & white photos by Clayton Cubitt)

dressed up
Here's us with our awesome tour guide!
dressed up
Hahah.
dressed up
He wanted to dress us up in traditional Balinese wedding clothes and take our picture!
dressed up
I like to put things off until the very last minute and with only one shopping day before we had to catch our flight, it was time to pick out my "getting married" clothes. (Can you tell we agreed to have a "no-pressure" wedding policy?) I bought a nice new fancy Italian shirt ($200 is the most I've ever spent on a single article of clothing!) and an awesome new tie.
dressed up
The tie I picked out is like the mullet of ties. Business in the front, party in the back.
dressed up
If you look carefully you can make out the edge of my party peeking out from behind the formal black veneer.
dressed up
Around 3pm, we headed back to our rooms to get dressed. Meredith put on her amazing polka-dot party dress. <3
dressed up
Except this time it was FOR REAL! Me with the groom!
dressed up
Family photo.
dressed up
This photo makes me laugh out loud every time I see it. Soooo good. (Bonus points to Jessica for finger-pointing like a professional wrestler from the 80s. Yes!)
dressed up
Practicing our photo booth faces.
dressed up
...before posing for their own in front of the sunset. Hahaha.
dressed up
Billy and Kara posed for my camera...
dressed up
Check out...
dressed up
Matt and Meredith.
dressed up
Billy and me.
dressed up
Sarah was there playing music and looking this adorable.
dressed up
After a crazy-late night at Hanger Bar the previous night, here's me after 2 hours of sleep all dressed up in a cab on the way to Merdith's cousin's wedding in Brooklyn.
dressed up
On Wednesday night I went to the Delancey to meet up with Fatty. He'd come directly from work and was CORPORATE GUY AT THE ROCK SHOW! Hahah.
dressed up
After about 30 minutes of waiting, word came down that they'd be called into the Justice's chambers in just a couple of minutes! Here's Vin striking his last "disco pose" as a single man!
dressed up
...this guy's wedding! Here's the groom-to-be with Dave and Josh!
dressed up
Oh, and Edie was there and rocking the school bus outfit that Meredith hand-made for her for halloween. Hahaha. Who's a cute little WienerBus?
dressed up
...we had an hour before the reception and I wanted to grab a quick nappity-nap to ensure I'd have the juice for what was sure to be a full night of drinking and antics. Grant, Meredith and I all went up to our room and just as I was falling into dreamland...
dressed up
Hahaha. I love this photo!
dressed up
A little before 4pm, we took our seats out on the beach.
dressed up
Meredith and Grant. Awww!
dressed up
Emma and Rob's wedding ceremony was on the beach, so after we'd finished getting all dressed up, we headed a few hundred feet down to boardwalk and awaited the arrival of the bride and groom.
dressed up
And now, it's time for a romantic wedding metaphor! Ready? Meredith is the spoon that...
dressed up
And me? Why yes, that is, a Pierre Cardin tuxedo! Thank you for noticing! (Er, it's not really. That was just the first fancy-sounding name-brand that popped into my head. Which probably just made you realize that despite living in NYC and half of my friends working in something "fashion related," my knowledge of the fashion world comes from Bret Easton Ellis novels set in the 80s).
dressed up
What, you thought I was kidding about the "got real dressed up" part, eh? Check out this beaut in her fancy gown!
dressed up
Here's me and Mer. The ceremony had already taken place and we're at one of the really nice, private university clubs uptown waiting for the reception to start. Before we went into the reception hall, I went to the bathroom to "freshen up" and was magically transported...
dressed up
Then later that night, I went out to Brooklyn with Meredith to attend some sort of prom party that Blackbook Magazine was throwing at the Brooklyn brewery that Aileen had invited us to! Here's Mer and Aileen.
dressed up
Thanks for coming with me, lovelies!
dressed up
I guess that's the only photo I took at Easter dinner (whoops!) because here's Meredith and I back on the platform waiting to catch a train back into town.
dressed up
Me and Tara's mom, Donna!
dressed up
Let's hear it for old clothes that still look good! Hahah.
dressed up
Then the reception hall opened and I got to take my first official picture with the brand new Mrs. Feeney!
dressed up
...and got all dressed up for Tara's wedding! Awwww, how pretty is my girl? By the way, I'd like to point out that Meredith is wearing a dress that she got for a middle school dance when she was in 8th grade...
dressed up
...and I was wearing the suit my dad bought for me at Clothing Town to have made when I was Sophomore in high school (1991!) and got invited to go to a school dance with a girl who went to private school. Can you believe that shit still fits??
dressed up
Grant was there! He even got all spiffied up!
dressed up
After the song was over, it was time to begin the official hitchin' process!
dressed up
....Matt would be singing a karaoke song to his bride-to-be!
dressed up
Before Chris began the actual ceremony, he announced that...
dressed up
Matt and Kate: The beaming bride-and-groom-to-be!
dressed up
Here's Chris welcoming everyone to the ceremony...
dressed up
Mike DiBianco, me, Hafeez and John Merlino.
dressed up
On Saturday night, Meredith and I got all dressed up and headed down to Tribecca to attend...
dressed up
Mer has had this (crushed velvet!) dress since middle school! Hahaha.
dressed up
Later that night Meredith got all hussied up (again! who's luckier than me) and we decided to head to Misshapes!
dressed up
Friday night my sexy-ass girlfriend got all sexied up and we headed over to Orchard Bar for Karen and Sarah's Friday night party there.
dressed up
Earlier in the week I'd gotten a call from a headhunter about a job opening at a social networking company and on Friday I put on my suit (which is actually the suit I got go to a dance my sophomore year in high school that still fits perfectly...hahahah) and went in to Community Connect for an interview (I'll save you the suspense, I got the job).
dressed up
Best photo ever. No, that's not a Casio you're hearing. It's the ELEKTROGRANTCLASH Y2K theme music that this photo causes you to hear IN YOUR MIND!
dressed up
Even better...
dressed up
After Coney Island I went home to do a little reading and take a nap. But I'm lucky enough to also have Grant's pictures from the night - so while I was doing nothing, here are some pics of Charlene and Grant getting their "outfits" ready over at the Grizza's apt before coming over to my place. There's only one pic of Charlene. (Looking lovely, I might add).
dressed up
After the ties were fixed, it was time for family photos out on the back deck. Here's Brett, Pappi, mom and me.
dressed up
Me with Chris and Steve.
