We were all out on the deck late night drinking beers and Dominic (who is Scott's cousin that we also grew up with!) started talking about shot-gunning beers at college.
On Thursday night I went right down the street to Drop Off Service to celebrate Rachael's 28th birthday! Here's Emily and the birthday day girl getting ready to hoist shots of tequila.
On Saturday night I went out for Emily C's 28th birthday! Here's the birthday girl with Rachael! (I went to high school with these two lovelies! There were freshman when I was a big, bad senior. Awwwww!)
And here's Emily twenty minutes later getting the big "L is for Loser" from Siege after announcing that she was leaving to go home and sleep! But if Siege had known Emily for as long as I have - he'd know that Emily needs AT LEAST 10 hours of a sleep a night! No hard time from me, sugar! Thanks for going out of your way to swing by on a weeknight!
...but then will quickly change gears to show her true colors. Hahah. How funny would it be to have wedding photos where all the guests where ONLY making faces like these?
Emily and David Kihm (Roxbury High School Class of 1997, yo). Emily was cold so she got to wear my Succasunna sweatshirt. (Not that I really minded giving it to her...a dude wearing a Succasunna sweatshirt in a Landing bar is pretty much like wearing a sign that says "Hi, I'd like my ass kicked! Thanks!")
Yay, free lunch in the Google cafeteria! Check out Emily laughing at my disgusting assortment of food. (I pretty much took a serving from each of the 9 or so lunch stations.).
Emily C! Later that night, a whole buncha us headed out to Hoboken to see Fiasco (Grant, Amanda & Fatty's band) play with fellow former Roxbury High Schooler Christina Alessi's band, Hey Tiger.
And then later that night I met up with Emily and Rachael to celebrate Rachael's 26th birthday! Happy Birthday, Ray Ray! That about wraps up the first half of the July Roundup! Part Two coming soon!
On Thursday afternoon I was in mid-town running errands and I popped over to Google to visit Emily and enjoy Google's totally awesome Flunch (free-lunch) cafeteria.
Here's Em and I at the brunch table making cranky faces because it took over an hour to get a table at Essex and then another HOUR to get our food after we'd ordered.
...3! I missed the cork coming out of the bottle, but if look by Emily's ear you'll see that I did manage to capture it going through her hair mid-flight after it had ricocheted off the wall!
Grant arrived and Emily immediately swooped in close to assess his holiday moustache. With my fancy cam all busted out already, we decided it was time for aerial pics!
...were the first people in history brave enough to try to turn the area behind the pool table into a "dance floor." (If you're a guy, this usually results in an asskicking. If you're a girl, it's usually interpreted by the male patrons that you're "asking for it.")
Later that night, Rachael, Emily, Meredith and I headed up to the very classy Pat's Bar in Landing, NJ (it's sort of become a holiday tradition over the years).
Right before we rolled into tha joint, Emily Cmeilewski showed up! Woooo! (Because, as you know, it's just not a complete Roxbury Reunion unless the EM to the EL to the E is there).
...somebody's San Franciscian "wacky dad" showed up! Hahaha. Get aload of this guy. He recognized Michael from somewhere and started talking to him and Michael was clearly not 100% positive who the guy was and kind of uncomfortable talking to him. We did what any good friends are supposed to do when your buddy is stuck talking to someone they don't want to be talking to...
...sorry about that. After hitting the street we headed over to this bearded guy's house party who was maybe a buddy of Mike Doyle's? (Or maybe not, judgeing by the look that Mike is giving him).
Caitlin works at an ice cream store and showed up at the party with a garbage bag full of pints. Look at the drunkies I found out on the backporch getting their ice cream on. I think I caught Emily in the middle of a "ow, fuck! Brainfreeze!" moment.
