mall

mall
Spent the whole day there with Doug, Anni and some of their friends.
mall
Interesting to see people creating alternative businesses within empty retail spaces!
mall
...and headed to a nearby mall.
mall
One of the window displays had "ironic" 80s metal looks. Holy shit, getting old is weird.
mall
We walked over to the nearby shopping outlet...
mall
We walked around for a bit afterwards and marveled at all the weird gadgets they sell at Brookstone.

mall
The monochromatic Battjers with a big nutcracker.
mall
After eating, we went over to the Flushing Mall, which is basically like getting teleported to a mall in Asia.
mall
Awesomely weird, right?
mall
Ginger cow Mets fan.
mall
They had a whole bunch of those blank cows that get painted by different artists in various stages of completion.
mall
The colors and the lighting and the architecture all seem so foreign.
mall
Hey, Grant! This one's for you!
mall
My dad picked me up at the train station and we went to the Ledgewood Mall to pick some things up. When we got to the mall, there was some sort of car show going on!
mall
So fricking cool.
mall
I think my favorite was this slammed Cadillac.
mall
There were some pretty bad-ass cars.
mall
The only thing hotter than this car are the fashions inside "In the Spotlights."
mall
Crazytown, right?
mall
The entire mall was filled with all sorts of cool antique or souped-up cars.
mall
We started out at the huge Siam Paragon Mall looking for deals, but it was a really fancy mall that catered to foreigners and the prices weren't much cheaper than the US! So ten minutes later we decided to...
mall
Walking around the top floor of the mall, we looked down upon a sea of weird Thai clothing and it was then that Meredith decided we needed to do some gift shopping.
mall
...private karaoke booths that people were sitting in alone just singing karaoke BY THEMSELVES!?! Part of me thought this was really sad, and part of me realized I was probably only sad because I knew if I lived here I would totally do this by myself.
mall
Afterwards, we walked around the mall and spotted a weird store called Music Place that had all these octagonal glass booths. As we got closer we realized they were...
mall
Afterwards, we went to some supermall to check out some watches and see a movie, but it turned out we'd pretty much seen everything they were showing. So instead, we decided to hit the food court and EAT SOME MORE! East Wok, lemme hear ya!
mall
On Friday morning, my dad and I hit the town to do some last minute Christmas shopping.
mall
Then we went to some enormous arcade!
mall
Because there's nothing worse than a freshly armless Christmas. Foodcourt!
mall
After polishing off the pan of CR with extreme prejudice (and extra icing), Brett and I headed to the nearby Rockaway Mall to do some last minute (read: all of our) Christmas shopping. Literally ever single male excluding us weighed in at a deuce-twenty (complete with a fake tan). We were tracking this orange hulk for a few stores trying to get a better picture - but when he turned around after this pic and gave us the "I'm not sure exactly what you're up to just yet but I will figure it out and then rip your arms off" look, we decided we'd better quit while we were ahead.
mall
Nina went first.
mall
Here she is getting hurt after she turned it up "all the way."
mall
The shiatzu chair felt especially guh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-ood.
mall
Then we all tried out all the different super-expensive massage chairs.
mall
After the movie, we walked around some more and found this little store that had these water massage bed thingies. You lay down inside them fully clothed, and high-powered jets of water massage you through a plastic sheet.
