The next morning, Nina and I got up super-early and took the A train out to Far Rockaway. ...and headed downtown to meet up with Nina and check out a new party the MisShapes were doing at Santos Party Haus. ...we found this little elf who ushered us up into a little private area where Leigh poured us sneaky drinks OUT OF HER PURSE. After the Annex, I headed over to Angels & Kings for last call to say hi to Nina and Gurj . After MisShapes let out, we hailed a cab and headed crosstown for... Saturday night I went to MisShapes and I ran into Jamie who was there celebrating her birthday! Perfect beach weather. Great success! We arrived at the beach a little after 2pm and managed to find Nina and KT! Meredith, Nina and KT. "....3!" WHAM! Nina didn't hold back AT ALL! The girls left me alone in the steam room and headed over to the sauna and when I caught up with them a few minutes later... After the cold-ass pool, we headed into the hotel's nearby steam room to warm up. Hahaha. ...I found these kind of shenanigans going on. So busted! (With a hand on a titty, no less!). Ten minutes later, Nina showed up! Nina lives in Brooklyn so she'd headed out separately. ...there was even a grocery run to the (totally scary) local supermarket for snacks... Then we pretty much did all the normal beach stuff. You know, swimming, reading, napping, Scrabble playing... The View. (heh!) And bananas! Hahaha. A few hours later, we gathered up our stuff and decided it was time to do all the normal post-beach stuff. You know, like get ice pops... Later on, I got everybody to get up and do a jump take for my camera. They got it perfect on the first try. Every time I'm having a crappy day, I can look at this pick and it will instantly make me laugh my ass off. Everybody is pulling great faces too (click here for hi-rez version ). But the very best thing about this photo is... Hahah. ...to say hi to her and Nina who were just lounging around making rat faces. Nina and Peter. Hahah. Nina can't keep her eyes off her own handiwork. Ta-dah! ...and was only too happy to help Meredith achieve the same look. Nina had the "bottom halves" action rocking like nobody's business... Woo, boob-licking antics! Meanwhile, at the other end of the living room, Nina and Meredith were getting wild with the Pixie Stix. KT and Nina. Then later that night I met up with Rob, Emma, Nina, Lorelei and a ton of other people to head over to the Sunburnt Cow to celebrate... Nina and me sorta look like we're related.
