Fun to watch the next generation of cousins in the pool together! Took a swim after unpacking... Woke up bright and early on Thursday and headed up to the roof to enjoy the excellent pool. Cousins! Got some pool time in before dinner. Jenny Penny and I went hot tubbing and cold pool swimming until the wee hours! East Village 12:22am on a Monday. Spent my day in a conference room listening to two companies discuss how they could potentially work together. Back at the hotel that evening, I caught some much-needed winter rays poolside... Look at the camera! We were excited to learn... After the deer wandered off, we set off to explore the house we'd rented. Solid basement set-up! Complete with pool table, bar... ...complete with a huge pool! CHICKENFIGHT! ...and then later that evening, we headed over to the Aileen & Ryan's hotel to check out where the wedding reception would be taking place. Woke up to a cloudy January 1st Perfect sunny weather on Friday. ...headed down for a dip in the pool... Late, late, late night! ...hotel pool action! Cooling off outside by the pool. ...for a swim. (Also, as a side note, on different days I notice that I unconsciously purchase grocery items of the same color. Apparently this day was a "red and orange" day.) We spent the rest of the early afternoon enjoying the luxury of a backyard with grass and a pool! Meredith explored the yard... Yes. ...with a pre-breakfast swim! Gurj and I traded stretching tips and took each other through our routines and then followed it up... I went outside to join the pool folk because I'm pretty worthless in the kitchen. Only a little after 9am and already people were at the pool! We made it to the house close to 11pm! Later that afternoon, I went up to Matt's amazing pool roof! Swan belly flop! Sometimes what's need to get a pool party started... Soho Grand backyard pool. There are all sorts of different levels to the spa. Then up on the roof are a bunch of outdoor pools! Check out the touch-activated massaging jets! Enjoying our parentally-supervised sunbathing. Next we went downstairs to check the basement out. The bridal shower was at Lindsay's house up in north Jersey. John, her husband-to-be is a landscaper and their backyard is a monument to his services. Squinty poolside. Pool! Later that night I met up with Miye, Kristen and Max on their awesome little roof deck on Bleecker. A little before 6pm, Matt used his extensive local knowledge to help us locate a nearby... We went back to the pool to soak up some more of the wonderful Florida sunshine. Later that afternoon, Mer and I went to the pool to enjoy some Florida sunshine. See you later, mini palace! And there was an shaded pagoda in the middle of the pool. Gargoyle fountains flowed into the pool. The grounds in front of the bedroom were even more insane! We cooled off with a quick dip in the pool, and then packed up our things and headed off to the REALLY fancy hotel we booked for our final two nights in Bali. Later that afternoon, we hung out at the resort's pool. I got up early on Monday morning and went for a swim. Overdo it much? The tea garden was massive. It was a giant, walled lilly-filled pond that had bridge-accessible "island pagodas" for enjoying tea. Another perfect day. After our swim, we decided to try out the little shaded beds next to the pool. Went out onto our porch... ...and rinsed off in our little pool surrounded by plants and flowers. Around 7:30 Mer woke up we walked over to the hotel's restaurant to get breakfast. Our bungalow shared a porch and a small pool with the bungalow next door. Later in the afternoon, I decided to really mix things up with a change of scenery and moved my feed up to the lounge chairs by the pool. Me, peeking over the edge of the edgeless pool. (Kilroy was here .) The next morning we woke up before 5am and went downstairs to swim in the hotel's gorgeous edgeless pool that's right down near the beach. (Meredith's in the pool, but you can see the ocean right behind her). Me, blowing out all my air and sinking to the bottom. My parents had traded in some timeshares they had and got us all rooms at the lovely Stardust Lodge. By the time we were done with dinner and drinks, it was almost 10:30! This is the pool that I didn't get to swim in because I was in brainstorming and strategic planning meetings all day! Boo! Hahahaha. We'd worked up a big appetite, so around 7:30... Haha. Group shot. Awww, yeah. The drive up was quicker than we expected leaving us with some time to catch a little sun and swim before the wedding. We found our way out to the pool... They have a MASSIVE backyard complete with an in-ground pool and a pond. 3am and not crowded! Nicole came out from behind the bar to play pool. ...had ourselves some breffis and a nice swim in the pool... Nightswimmin. ...THIS AWESOME POOL! I went down to the pool a couple minutes later to check it out. I heard a sound behind me... Hahaha. TRICK SHOT! I also love how this photo makes her look like she only has one leg.
