"Oh, well you know how it is, ChatRoulette! Just having a typical New York City post-Superbowl hang. Sitting around wearing a bike helmet on my face while my gay friend casts sultry glares in the background."
Towards the end of the night, someone had the genius idea to recreate Meredith's fall from the chair earlier in the evening. Haha. I love how Fatty's reaching in to lend a hand.
...and made it to the (super fancy) University Club a little after seven. Cocktail hour! Originally, this party was going to be just our family and family friends, but due to 10 last minute cancellations, we had 10 FRIENDS there! Yay!
There's a table next to the kitchen that's always covered with a rotating assortment of beautiful and/or strange art and objects. This time around we all got interested in a mirror that had big metal loop on a hinge that you could use to hang the mirror around your neck. For when you shave?
On Sunday morning I told Meredith I was having brunch with some former co-workers that were in town visiting, but I was really secretly meeting up with Amanda, Scott and Leigh to go shopping FOR AN ENGAGEMENT RING! Oh, snap!
That's right! After four years of dating, I decided that I was going to surprise Meredith and ask her to marry me at Sarah Lewitinn's Memorial Day BBQ; it was the fourth anniversary of the very same party that Meredith asked me out on our first date in 2004!
Sweaty Dance Floor Monster! Here's Leigh and Scott with a girl whose name I forget but I think she was one of the people who organized the party! So, er, thanks!
Careful, Scott! If you don't leave enough room between you and your dance partner (for Jesus), swing dancing can get the ladies all hot and bothered and before you know it...
Leigh was worried that she was smiling too much in photos lately so we decided to take a "coldstare" photo lest people start to think she's going soft. (Bonus points to Scott for his Colonel Mustard freestyle!)
We got our free drink on and took stupid pictures to celebrate being reunited after four long days apart. (I don't remember what the party was for...maybe is was something related to V Magazine?)
