a person in 121 photos marina By 1pm on Sunday we'd finished driving the last of the guests down the mountain and then we cleaned up, packed and headed back to NYC. Thanks for coming up to celebrate the cabin with me, everyone! It was nice to be surrounded by people I love to process the bad news about my dad. Marina on the porch swing. Had some holiday songs... Late night crew. On Saturday night I headed out to Brooklyn for my favorite holiday party of the year.... Getting ready to head back home! ...Dave & Marina and their kids! ...and then Henry demanded his fair share of the action. Maddy waiting for grill-droppings. ...to a BBQ at Marina... She even managed to win over Grant's tiny, child-hating heart! Back at the house, we got to meet Viotet... Marina's comedy preggo-belly! (Grant's expression in the background!) On Saturday afternoon, me, Amanda & Grant met up with a very pregnant Marina & Fatty for breakfast! We had homemade hot doughnuts out back at Back Forty. Later that afternoon, I walked a few blocks down the street to visit Fatty, Marina & Henry! Marina & Henry playing. Treats and tunes = HOT NEWS! A lovely day... Chris & Marina. On Saturday afternoon we met up with Marina & Dave at Back Forty. Cupid crew. Later that evening, we went to Meredith's parent's house for dinner. David was out of town, so Marina came and met us there! Look what showed up in the mail on Monday! Awwww. ...because Dave had planned a surprise birthday party for Marina! Who I caught here with a mouth full of... Marina and Dave! ...ugly photos of Henry to the interwebs. Hahahah. ...but not before putting his sweater over his face like a NINJA! Hahah. We also heard a great story about the time that Dave saw Marina standing on the subway platform and decided to go over and say hello... Dave even took the time to dress Henry up in a Nasty Magic onesie! On Sunday we headed out to Brooklyn to see Marina and Dave and meet two-week old Henry for the first time! Then we all went to see Louis CK live at Carnegie Hall! Frank, Marina (with Henry inside!), Dave, Mer, Liz & Matt! There was also a NASTY MAGIC onesie in the mix! Shout at the Devil onesie! Haha. ...HAPPY BIRTHDAY! On Wednesday night we visited Marina and Dave and they proudly showed off the matching NASTY MAGIC t-shirt and onesie someone had given them as a gift. Hahaha. Soooo good. Marina showing off her baby belly! On Tuesday night I went out to Brooklyn to have dinner with Marina and Dave. (T-minus six months until baby Henry!) ...and piled back into the van to head home! Cocktail hour! Originally, this party was going to be just our family and family friends, but due to 10 last minute cancellations, we had 10 FRIENDS there! Yay! Thanks for coming out on such short notice every one! Yay! Let's hear it for all the last minute cancellations that led to a this table of awesomeness! Uh-oh! Looks like the old ball and chain is demanding to be taken home. Haha. A-dorable. On the way up to the roof, I found these four huddled around Siege's computer screens laughing and smiling. Yeah Newlyweds. ..and up on to their building's awesome roof deck. ...to have dinner at Fatty and Marina's new apartment in the West Village. We went out onto their fire escape... Dave took Marina out onto the dance floor. At first glance it looked like they were doing some kind of crazy-synchronized rehearsed dance routine... I loved that Marina loved Dave playing in his OWN wedding band. ;) Special dance-floor delivery! Six Piece Nastee !It was pretty sweet. Ta-da! ...whereas Dave employed the OPEN AS WIDE AS YOU CAN technique. Haha. Everyone has a unique strategy to ensure your brand new spouse doesn't smash cake into your face. Marina went with the rock-solid "hand poised to intervene" defense... Hahaha. So great. ...the wedding cupcake!
