a thing in 171 photos baby Buddies! On Thursday I met up with Leigh and Lukas for lunch. ...with Juniper who loves taking photos. ...I made silly faces... While Juliette tried the games... It was obviously wiener dog-related! Later that afternoon, I went up to Leigh's to give Lukas a birthday present! ...and Randy's baby pics. Kid's a real mash-up! Leigh posted adorable comparison pics of Lukas with her baby photos... Hung out with this cutie on Friday afternoon. Baby Sam reminds me so much of my dad! ...my parent's video conferencing with newly arrived baby Sam back in DC. Leigh was downtown Thursday morning for a haircut, and asked if I minded watching Lukas for an hour or so. And his friends??? (Lukas' face in this pic! lol). I ended up getting a text from Grant and David who where nearby getting ice cream so I brought Lukas over for a man-hang. Haha. Such a Battjer. Got to wake this guy up from his nap. Nice to meet you, Sam! <3 I also got to meet my 2nd nephew Samson for the first time! ...he instantly went to "Throwing shade" LEVEL 1000! Definitely takes after mom! Lol ...giving me doe-eyes in his cute lil bandana. Hung out with adorable baby Lukas... ...baby Juniper! On Sunday Sarah had us all over to Apt 3A... Gurj and Lukas hanging for the first time. ...and baby Lukas for dinner! THROW YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR FOR UNCLE BRIIIII-AN! Almost as soon as I'd gotten there, Leigh was like "Here you go" and handed me Lukas to me and just walked away to do stuff in the kitchen. LOL. It's really funny to meet a baby person for the first time. You can really feel a sense of what they're like even though they're brand new! We were vibin. Nice to meet you, Lukas! Welcome! On Tuesday I went to visit Leigh and meet Lukas for the first time. He is really cute and was smiling in his sleep when I met him. Haha. The dining room turned into a playroom! No doubt about who that baby is! Handsome tree bark. Ummm, do I know you? Adorable! Had a Sunday video brunch with this guy! Showing off his drinking... ...and eatin skills. Back at the house, we got to meet Viotet... Peek a boo with Juliette. We got up early on Sunday and went out for breakfast in the neighborhood. Is an uncle! Reunited with mom in time for bed! Max had just turned 5 months and can (sort of) sit up on his own if you prop him up in a corner real good. Ta-da! Hey, wait a minute - has this all been a big distraction because my mom is away? By the time we got down there, Max was conked out! ...about an hour down to the waterfront to see all the cherry blossoms. Feeding time. I MADE THIS! Amy got up early on Saturday morning to head to her friend's Bridal Shower, so me and Brett were alone with Max on double Mr. Mom duty for the day. ...but I managed to get a smile pretty quickly! On Friday afternoon I took the bus down to DC to hang out with Max. He was a little shy when I first arrived... Strollerin! ...then the mans (with honorable man-baby, Juliette). Noggin kissin! After we'd finished eating, baby Charlie came out of his baby sling to hang out! Amy & Brett got Max all bundled up... On Friday morning I packed my bags and said farewell to the exuberant grandparents. Evening bath time with an adorable little walrus. The look of fatherhood in the morning! Welcome to the world, bud! I immediately was struck with the intense feeling that I knew him already somehow. And also with the feeling that he felt the same way! Your kid has a kid! Proud papa! Total naturals! Adorable, twenty-six day-old, slumberer. Booties on point. When I arrived, I got to meet my three-week old nephew Max for the first time in person! On Saturday afternoon I went over to Theresa's art studio for her baby shower to welcome her new son, Sparrow! What a little turkey! I decided to stay in NYC and spend Thanksgiving by myself. Spent the day feeling a little lonely and reading. After dinner, my brother and Amy called... Mmmmm...baby smell. Said farewell to Josh, Jenny & baby Juliette.
Juliette got to hang with the wedding party. VIP baby! Had trouble making it down the aisle on his own.... Adorable little ringbearer nephew! ...except that Jenny now has a baby! Later that afternoon, I hopped on the train and headed out to suburban NJ to spend the afternoon with my family visiting my cousin Lindsay, her husband John... ...we got to see two fuzzy little baby boobies! First Christmas! ...and smuggled Maddy aboard a bus and headed down... Meredith, Aileen, Una & Sam! Cutest kid ever. Rob & Milo! ...made sure that the disco ball was up to code. Gigi and Leilana... Angie and Maddy Someone one another team actually found someone wearing a kilt! A crucial thing we couldn't find!
