Gruppo pineapple & pepperoni pizza for dinner...

...and then went to Piano's to see Matt's band with Brooks, Black & Blonde, play their first show.

Thursday, May 3rd

On Thursday morning I grabbed an iced coffee...

...and headed out to the Jacob Riis...

Saturday, May 5th

maddy — On Saturday, I threw the varmint into the truck...

...and drove up to my cabin.

Nice to be in the mountains in spring!

After getting camp cleaned up a bit and unloading my truck...

...I went down to Steve's garage to pick up the Wolverine.

Cleaned up the yard and the porch.

dad, mom — My mom sent me this pic of her and my dad out to dinner with some friends.

Saturday, May 5th

maddy — Sunday morning Maddy woke me up early eager...

newt — Saw this lovely, orange Eastern Newt that Maddy was really interested in.

After breakfast I got up on the roof...

...to file down the sliding mechanism of the slide-out upstairs bedroom.

And then started...

...installing a few bolt-lock on the cabin front door.

Losing the light - headlamp ON!

Also picked up some handrails to make climbing...

...up into the loft a little easier.

Lo-fi dinner because I was exhausted.

Monday, May 7th

Cleaned up the firepit Monday morning...

...and finished the rest of my cabin spring cleaning! Looking good

Took a final rip around in the UTV...

maddy — ...and then loaded up my truck to head home. Maddy likes to stand like this so she can watch out the windshield.

Stopped at Lumberjack's on the way out to pick up my favorite breakfast sammie.

Causual Wednesday pizza lunch.

jeet — On Friday I met up with Gurj to celebrate HER BIRTHDAY!

On Thursday I enlisted Kevin to do some weedwacking...

...to install my new trailcam! Happy May 2018, everybody! (I'm writing this entry in January 2025 almost 7 years after these photos were taken!! I haven't worked on this site since July 2023 and it feels nice to come back to it after 18 months of doing other stuff. Lots of catching up to do!)
