Even got a cup of soup. ...I ate my overpriced airport breakfast sandwich. ...to meet up with Jane Anne. Work from home lunch from Bob Counter. Mmmm. Headed to Lumberjack's for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Lots of sandwiches and books. Writing this caption in the spring of 2022 (!!!) and I still really miss Odessa. These days I have to walk an extra 2 avenues to Veselka if I want some Eastern European diner comfort food.
...and had some homemade bacon egg and cheese sandwiches! Yesssss. Place makes my favorite breakfast sandwich. Has bacon, sausage, egg, cheese and MAPLE SYRUP DRIZZLE. ...and all sorts of slices of fancy assorted sammiches. Late night I ordered my favorite chicken sandwich from Georgia's Eastside BBQ (with mac & cheese, baked beans and cornbread) Uggggh. Miss this place so much. Can't stop fucking with that Georgia's East Side BBQ Nashville Chicken sandwich. Mmmmm. ...breakfast sandwich! ...to grab a giant sandwich at Sunny Annie deli.... ...you get to have 2 sandwiches for lunch. Mmmm. Meatball and turkey club. If you pump enough iron... Went to Sunny Annie deli for a tricked out sammich and lots of fruits and seaweed! We grabbed lunch a bar we passed... Had a delicious lunch while.... Destroyed an footlong sandwich while watching.... We got Sunny Annie Deli sandwiches late night. Oh yeah, the 2013 is still my jam. Gurj made us peanut butter, jelly, banana and Nutella sandwiches! ...two of my favorite breffis sammich. Train lunch. Double sandwich lunch. When you can't decide, get both! Couldn't decide between two Organic Grill options for dinner... Not really feeling my new living room rug. I like that it's bigger than my last rug, but the pattern is so crazy and complex that it's hard to find anything I put down on the floor. Haha. On Saturday I tried watching some Wolf Hall on Netflix. Work lunch! Veggie sandwich lunch! Veggie sammich lunch in the garden. ...cantaloupe, cranberries, mozzarella pesto? What kind of evil sandwich genius? The Bodybuilder sammich from Barnyard for lunch. Barnyard nom nom. PB & Honey. Exchanged reiki with Kevin and then we ate incredible deli sandwiches from Sunny Annie Deli. (I was all about showing everyone the delicious "2013") Tiny's Giant Sandwich. ...and ordered myself a sandwich! I love New York City. Friday Vietnamese sandwich conference with the Bassmeister General! <3 Spent Friday evening eating deli sammiches and... Rewarded all my cleaning hard work with a 2013 sandwich from Sunny & Annie's Deli. I feel like incredible bodega sandwiches are a pretty solid winning counter-argument to any kind downside to living in NYC. ...and getting my egg sammich on. ...we got a sandwichy feast from Tiny's Giant Sandwich Shop. Mmmm. Sunday Winter Routine: coffee from downstairs, breffis sandwich from across the street. Eat 'em the garden on the other corner and enjoy the sun. Had lunch at Organic Grill and ordered a sandwich that was served on WAFFLE bread! Work-from-home lunch. Haha. Made myself this deluxe bachelor lunch... We stumbled on the Manhattan outpost of Smorgasburg and stopped to get our treat on. Got a fresh moz sandwich and sat in the La Plaza garden... ..eating a spinach & mozzarella panini from Paradiso (yes!)... YUM! ...mostly things like this! Gurj came over and we ordered from our favorite Vietnamese sandwich place! I don't have a toaster so I just pan fry my bread along with my eggs. If I don't order food, chances are I'm making a grilled cheese. ...an encore of their egg & pepper breffis sammich! Grilled cheese for dinner. ...and my lunch! Later that evening, while eating a light dinner... TA-DA! ...where I was and where I could get something vegetarian-friendly to eat! Ended up at Pita Pit. Fantastic veggie bahn mi and a weird e-book someone recommended to me that I found interesting. As someone who's always had difficulty "imagining the future," I found this book's suggestion to re-framing that as "remembering future memories" very freeing and lovely. We got bahn mi sandwiches and chatted in the park. Back at home that evening, I had vegetarian Vietnamese from Lan Cafe for dinner. Yes! We had just enough time at Narita to grab a sandwich. I had an exotic French/Japanese fusion bagette for dinner. Lunch! Veggie cold cut sandwiches for dinner. Made myself some veggie sammiches for lunch. By 5pm we'd worked our appetites back up so I took Gurj over to Love N Haight deli, my favorite veggie sandwich shop! YES! The vegetarian option. Mmmm. Bahn mi likey. Pope and Monkeybird. Jaffles! When Meredith's driving on Netflix... Had me a veggie banh me sandwich for lunch. Mmmmmm! Cheese and ranch dressing on a hamburger bun (bonus points if sandwich assembly happens on top of a day-old New York Post). ...while Meredith made and packed a bunch of sandwiches... I got an egg, cheese and homefries on a hardroll. Mmmmmmm! Quantum Leap's veggie club sandwich is ridiculously delicious. Each one if filled with something different! ...and I got a FRENCH FRY SANDWICH! (Man, how has this not caught on here in the States yet either? I'm going to open a shop in NYC that only sells French Fry Sandwiches and Raspberry Bacardi Breezers and make a million dollars!) It's hard to tell which Meredith is enjoying more; the kiss or the sandwich. We got home at like 5am and Meredith totally housed my awesome hummus sandwich leftovers. ...vegetarian duck sandwich!!!
