...while enjoying a cup of coffee and another English muffin with peanut butter. Who says they're just for breakfast? Thanks for inviting me Gurj! You've set a new bar for how I will enjoy all music concerts moving forward.
Grant came over early on Thursday morning because we'd agreed to help my neighbor Theresa move a bunch of large pieces of art work from her storage unit to her studio.
With Grant temporarily staying in the home office, I moved my computer into our bedroom so that I'd have a quiet place to get some work done for the remainder of Grant's stay.
After Edie had finished walking, we heard it would still be a while before the results were in! We were too hungry to wait around, so Mer and I headed over to Odessa for some diner-tastic breakfast.
Right after we'd finished eating, the word came in via text message that Meredith's handmade school bus outfit had won Edie an honorable mention!
We got out of the rain and into a restaurant that was right on the beach. After we'd finished our lunch, it was still raining. So we hung out and drank coffee...
After a restful night of sleep at Uncle Ira's, we woke on Monday to do some quick exploring of San Fran before starting the four and a half hour drive out to the ranch in North Fork.
Here's Fatty's take on the same incident (if you click here you'll see the original coffee lady in the background and Grant and Fatty laughing at her).
They started off with a lil' sumptin to eat at the Odessa diner on Ave. A (right near St. Mark's). Here's Grant doing his impression of this lady that we saw at a diner when we were down in Asbury Park, NJ for Memorial Day (when her coffee was empty, instead of summoning the waitress over, she just looked down and read her paper while holding her coffee cup and saucer out in the aisle).
