Since I bought my cabin upstate, I'd been renting Zipcars to go back and forth but decided it was finally time to buy my own vehicle! (I haven't owned a car since I sold my VW GTi back in 2002!)
On Wednesday morning, Duncan picked the Voray exec team up in his hot new Audi SUV and we headed up to Connecticut for an Executive Offsite and Yearly Planning Session!
...I noticed that the people from Pukk (my favorite vegetarian Thai restaurant) were closing up the store and emptying out all the cool neon furntiture.
While coming home from the park, I saw someone loading my neighbor's awesome vintage VW van onto a flatbed truck. In the off-chance that this wasn't a service the owner had requested, I snapped a picture of the flatbed's phone number...
OMG. Back in the day, Leigh used to be out late every single weeknight in the Lower East Side - so much so that she became friends with some of the garbage men that had that route and they used to give her and her roommate Jessica rides home to make sure they got home safely. Haha. We got out of Lawrence's party and when a garbage truck passed us, Leigh hailed it like a taxi AND THE GUY STOPPED. Hahaha. Let's hear it for free rides!
After we'd finished loading up the Uhaul, we loaded up Scott's trailer with a bunch of furniture for the house that he and Erika had just purchased and were in the midst of renovating!
Check out the truck parked right outside of the bar! I asked Leigh and Karen to strike sexy, slutty-girls-in-an-automotive-calendar poses and this is what they came up with. YES!
On Monday afternoon, the Margarita Man, who was in town from the Jerz (of course), told me that once I "tried him I'd never go back." Whatever that means!
But when I wandered down for a closer look (hoping I could pick a fight and kick some fucking mime ass) I noticed the tiny writing underneath the logo. Haha.
