Every summer, my family would drive up to Bow Lake in New Hampshire and spend a week at my Uncle Steven & Aunt Kathy's lakehouse on Beech Island! Here's a shot of Brian Crowell getting ready to waterskii!
On Thursday afternoon, I went over to Chris' house and we paddled canoes out the inlet towards the sea. About 45 minutes after we left, a HUGE storm rolled in, and we had to paddle back in a hurry against a strong current that came out of nowhere. My arms were sore for DAYS. Hahaha.
Unfortunately, the captain told me that it was too windy to make the 70-mile round trip journey and to come back again tomorrow morning. I was too awake to go back to bed, so I decided to sit out on my hotel's dock and watch the sunrise.
Which I realized weren't just there for show when I had to use one to seek shelter from a crazy rain storm that rolled in offshore and surprised everyone.
...and then back into the car for a much slower-paced remainder of the drive. By the time we made it to the lake, it was so dark we had to use our car's headlights to light up the path so we could bring our luggage down to the dock.
