Got to watch the sunrise as....
sunrise
The rest of us went to a bar to have a few drinks and when we closed the place down around 4am, it was already light outside again!
sunrise
Headed to Jfk on Saturday evening. Arrived just in time to see the sunset.
sunrise
Got to see the sunrise from the air before landing! Thanks again for having me, Grant & Aki! I had an amazing trip!
sunrise
Ended up at a random, crazy party late late Tuesday night and saw it through to sunrise. HOLY LION GOLDEN FATHER! I didn't take any photos except for this one of my Citibiking home up a totally empty Lafayatte Street at 6am.
sunrise
After a two-hour boat ride going over 8-foot swells THE ENTIRE TIME, we finally made it to the calmer, reef-protected area of the ocean near the Blue Hole.
sunrise
Nice little Tuesday.
sunrise
...slowly change colors...
sunrise
I watched the sunrise and the sky...
sunrise
Five seconds after the predicted 6:26am sunrise, the sun made its appearance over the horizon.
sunrise
6:20am.
sunrise
I sat there scratching my temporary-dog's ears watching the colors change.
sunrise
Dog friend number two. Nice to sit on the dock with these guys and feel at home on the earth.
sunrise
Just before 6am and the sky started to lighten.
sunrise
Two of the local beach dogs followed me out onto the dock and kept me company.
sunrise
Unfortunately, the captain told me that it was too windy to make the 70-mile round trip journey and to come back again tomorrow morning. I was too awake to go back to bed, so I decided to sit out on my hotel's dock and watch the sunrise.
sunrise
...morning sunshine!
sunrise
Not a bad view.
sunrise
On Monday morning I awoke to something I hadn't seen yet in Belize...
sunrise
Sunrise from the air.
sunrise
...just in time to catch sunrise. EAT REAL FOOD.
sunrise
I was in a cab on my way to the airport...
sunrise
Awesome.
sunrise
Sunrise at the airport.

sunrise
For most of the week, we'd been surfing a small beach-break right out front of the camp. On Tuesday morning, we woke up early to travel to a bigger break. I remember taking this photo so clearly. The windows were down, we were on a dirt road, the stereo was cranked playing The Ocean by Led Zep, the morning sun had just broken over the mountaintops.
sunrise
The next morning we woke up before 5am and went downstairs to swim in the hotel's gorgeous edgeless pool that's right down near the beach. (Meredith's in the pool, but you can see the ocean right behind her).
sunrise
Seventeen hours later we arrived in Hong Kong and went to a restaurant where we got to watch the sun rise behind the mountains that ring the airport tarmac.
sunrise
Moon Cloud.
sunrise
We played until the sun came up. Leigh manned my cam and took some pics.
sunrise
The view up Avenue C on the way home! Yay, summer!
sunrise
I took this picture of myself looking goofily proud of my accomplishment...
sunrise
Then right on schedule at 5:40am, the sun broke over the horizon in the distance!
sunrise
I made it to the very summit with about 20 minutes to spare before sunrise. It was amazing to watch the bruised, purple sky slowly light up with pinks and yellows.
sunrise
I stayed late and danced until way after they were closed and walked home while the sun was coming up.
sunrise
The sun started to come up as I was walking. I snapped this pic of a bunch of Thai kids with their mom swimming at the butt-crack of dawn.
sunrise
Amy and I ended up hanging out and talking until super-late...
sunrise
My corner. I made it home a little before 6am with just enough time to get in bed before sunrise.
