a thing in 401 photos walking On Thursday morning, I spied this character on his way over to my apt. I you haven't been Tulum it's still pretty up-and-coming. The main ocean-front drag where are the hotels are looks like this for like 2 miles and there aren't any sidewalks so you're just walking in the street with no streetlights. On Saturday, I walked through snowy Brooklyn... We wandered around and grabbed a bite after. Got a chance to hang out and walk with Anni... Weird 9pm! We decided to walk from the hotel through the wooded path to the subway. We left the studio at 11pm at night - so confusing for it to still be daylight outside! Kept strolling on the water... Afterwards, I walked the waterfront loop around the city. Another day of exploring on Sunday. ...meet up with Doug and Matthew... There's something about wandering around an European city on my own that always makes me feel a bit... Then I set off to wander around and explore Helsinki a bit. Walked across Suomenlinna... Walked home across the bridge. On Sunday morning we went for a walk around the neighborhood.... In the end, we decided to take them over in the NUDE! They were so happy to be walking crosstown together. Adorable. Long East River Park walk with Maddy. Took Maddy for a walk and noticed the first signs that spring was on its way! Thank goodness! Walked uptown through Union Square... Met up with Tyson... ...and we headed towards the water to explore Seattle a bit. After the show we walked from the arena... Decided to walk to a local dispensary for the first time in my life after lunch. Day after my party recovery day! Took Maddy for a long walk. Rainy summer Saturday! I met up with Gurj in Chinatown and we headed to... ...and hit the woods with Maddy to do some exploring. ...took the dog for a walk, did some grocery shopping in the RV park grocery store and then it was time to... Spent the rest of the afternoon exploring side streets... ...the Sandia Peak Tramway... Took Max and the dogs out for a long walk around the neighborhood. Took these two ladies on a long walk over to the pet store on 9th Street... Friday morning double hound walk! A dewy field of French Marigold on the walk home. Up at 6am to help Brett get Max to daycare. He likes to told me hand while I walk next to him in the stroller. Breakfast banana and a hound walk over to the East River. Got a call from Ty and as luck would have it, I was a walkable distance to his house. ...and we walked over to the Grape & Grain.... Walked through a movie shoot on the way home. Hound walk! Max was really excited to see me but also really shy at the same time. Haha. Walked off the meal at 2am in the crosstown snow. ...the sun finally came out on Wednesday. Hung out in the park with Grant and Catrinel... Ivy wall changing colors. Lots of walking! Get him home before he falls asleep! Kristina was in town visiting from California. So we went out for dinner... Monday was Labor Day. Maddy got my up early and we headed over to East River Park. The FDR overpass... After the ceremony, we headed east towards Chinatown. Space warp to Manhattan. Happy May 2014! Brooklyn raccoon! It was a nice night out, so Grant and I decided to walk home. We spotted this raccoon on our walk over to the bridge. Loves trotting across the bridge. Took Maddy for a late night walk... Spent the snowy President's Day off catching up on errands and worrying about the the business trip I had to take tomorrow for a new client that was starting to feel like a bad fit. (They ended up being a disaster - lesson learned! Trust your gut!) The tall bamboo that usually stands-up straight was slouched over the sidewalk from the icy weight. ...and walked me to Dupont Circle to catch my bus back to NYC. Nice late-fall afternoon. After I finished my work, I walked over... Perfect fall day! ...with my terrifying pack of Halloween Hell Hounds! Hung out with Miye on Saturday. I took Maddy for an evening walk through the park and on the way home spotted... Taking the hounds for a walk through suburbia. Spotted! Oh, you know, just a pack of dudes randomly wandering your neighborhood with sports equipment. Spent the late afternoon... Spent all of the 4th catching up on sleep. Headed out around 9pm... Flowers blooming in the flower box down the block. Headed home. We went out to dinner with Fatty... You take mine. I'll take your picture. Maddy is really good at stalking pigeons. She sneaks up on them all slow and low and then pounces! You don't have to stop walking to eat a slice. ...huge linked-barges up the river. ...with this squidgel. ...and then took this one on a walk through the snow-packed park. Out walking the wiener dog after an afternoon spent talking to a few prospect clients. Later that night I met up with the artist himself for drinks and a man-chat at Dream Baby. ...trips to the airport I've ever made! Later that afternoon, I walked ALL THE WAY across the island (a whole mile)... I got up at 6am on Tuesday to head out on a 3-tank dive at the world famous scuba site, the Great Blue Hole . (Not to be confused with the regular Blue Hole in Egypt where I dived back in 2008 ! Woke up at 10:30 starving and hit the town in search of something to eat. ...I headed back down the road to the bridge to find a taxi on the main road. On my walk, I spotted a bunch of... ...then left me to walk the rest of the way up hill... The car drove me a bit up the road on the other side of the river... On my way to inquire about a diving trip, I followed these two cuties on their morning commute to their beach-front school. This narrow sidewalk is one of the main "roads" in town. On Saturday afternoon, Ellen invited me over for a hang at their new West Village apartment. Despite living in NYC for 16 years, I still get lost in the West Village all the time. I called Ellen for assistance on the way, "Where are you?" she asked, "I don't know how this is possible," I reluctantly replied, "but I swear I'm at the intersection of Wavery Place & Waverly Place!"
Ellen and I hung out for a while, shooting the shit and watching Youtube videos. Hans was acting a little funny. Later, I found out it was because he was waiting for me to leave so that HE COULD PROPOSE MARRIAGE!
