On Friday evening I took the train down to DC to visit my brother and family. Admired the big wreath while waiting in the cab line. Pretty fall afternoon. Came back to Brett & Amy's! ...Halloween on their way to school. Picked up my parent's car and made it down to DC in time to see all the kids dressed up for... Up at 6am to help Brett get Max to daycare. He likes to told me hand while I walk next to him in the stroller. Happy August 2015! Arrived in DC on Sunday afternoon Said farewell to Brett & Amy's apartment building! Sunday I went down to DC to visit the fam! Got out at the Washington Monument and kicked around a soccer ball with Max. ...and then walked down to the mall for some DC sightseeing. Grabbed some coffee on the corner nice and early... A group of Aussie's had set up a slackline and I went over and made friends with strangers and tried it out. On Sunday we went to the park at Dupont Circle. Back out for an afternoon lap! By the time we got down there, Max was conked out! ...about an hour down to the waterfront to see all the cherry blossoms. ...and walked me to Dupont Circle to catch my bus back to NYC. In the afternoon we walked over to a museum and got our art on. I immediately was struck with the intense feeling that I knew him already somehow. And also with the feeling that he felt the same way! ...is a quarter of a pie! On the walk home, my brother took me to a pizzeria where each slice... Regular garage entrance or secret CIA lair? Like a Roman nightmare. The scaffolding fit the shape of the building even at the top! ...it completely covered up in rennovation scaffolding. We walked over to the Washington Monument to get a better look at.... My brother lives just a short walk from the White House. Neato to be able to just walk right up to it (sort of). Foggy night and a full moon. ...we went for another long walk around, exploring DC. ...and then on to the Smithsonian to check out their special exhibit... ...we walked over to the White House... ...to Washington, DC to visit Brett & Amy. We got the whole thing squared away in 30 minutes and finally put Amy's concerns about our procrastination to rest. On the walk home we passed Fatty's Tattooz! A little after 2pm, we finally got motivated...
