Visiting Brett and Amy

With my brother and Amy's wedding in Florida only two short weeks away, Meredith and I headed down to DC for a pre-wedding visit!

Friday, January 9th

Friday evening after work, we met up in Chinatown and hopped on the NYC --> DC bus.

Baltimore.

We rolled into DC a little before 11.

amy b, teddy — Amy with their full-size daschund, Teddy! We'd seen pictures of him for months but this was the first time we were meeting him and he was a little shy. Full-size lap-chicken!

brett, meredith, teddy — Brett, Ted and Mer.

Saturday, January 10th

teddy — On Saturday morning, we lazed around the apartment, caught up and got on our relaxation on.

A little after 2pm, we finally got motivated...

...and headed to the Men's Warehouse.

amy b, brett, me, meredith — Brett had asked me to be his best man and I needed to get a suit that would match the one he'd be wearing. Here's me and Brett with the two soon-to-be Mrs. Battjers!

We got the whole thing squared away in 30 minutes and finally put Amy's concerns about our procrastination to rest. On the walk home we passed Fatty's Tattooz!

teddy — Dinner time for Big Red! Teddy is a speed eater.

brett — Later that night a bunch of my brother's friends came by the apartment and we had a mega hang! Right after midnight, we went to Mr. Yogato, a totally awesome frozen yogurt shop that's right down the street from their apartment.

meredith — Mer got the trivia question correct and got a delicious discount. Mmmmmm, tasty useless knowledge.

Oh, did I forget to mention that you can sit down at the kids table and play old school NES games after you're done? They even had the light gun!

brett, teddy — Adorable.

Sunday, January 11th

brett, meredith — While the three of us were getting our Sunday afternoon relaxation on...

....and was hard at work in the kitchen...

...whipping up orange and raisin scones with icing on them.

To say that they were good would be an understatement. Thanks for having us, guys!

This Mr. Yogato place seems awsome. Had there been one in Paris, I would definitely have gotten 10% off the bill stumping Steve (or Stephane in Fr.) on Seinfeld. Yummy.
