a person in 229 photos amy b Headed to the airport with Brett & his family My mom kept crying because my dad's cancer was continuing to progress and we all knew this would probably be the last time we'd all be together. Family pool day! Grandma even came over to join us for dinner! Went out for brunch... Amy and the boys! Sam has the funniest expressions that look just like our dad's. My brother and his family were down in Florida visiting my parents... Just in time to catch these rugrats before dinner and bedtime. ....came over for dinner. The next morning Amy, Brett and Max took me to their fave breakfast spot.... On Thursday morning we went to Odessa for breakfast before Brett, Amy and Max headed back to DC. ....to see where Amy was hiding this supposed brother! ...when he realized what it said was priceless. He wanted to try on the shirt and he wanted... ...and took the subway out to Brooklyn. ...to the Subway Museum! We took the subway... ...to my apartment in the East Village! After all the presents were opened... Great to watch my parents be grandparents on Christmas. ...and Shannon and Melissa. Got Max ready for bed in his Christmas Jammies. Amy cooking up our lovely dinner! The inaugural ride! Max outside waiting for his gift. The mall store turned into a weird hands on playground for kids. They had a grocery store section. ...and headed to a nearby mall. My parents had rented family beach house in LBI! Reading and relaxing in the sun with Amy. ...the Sandia Peak Tramway... Later that evening, we got dressed up and headed to the wedding! Brett, Amy & Max! Every night after Max goes to bed, Teddy all but leaps into Amy's arms. My turn for attention! That evening, our parents watched Max and Brett & Amy went out for a much needed kid-free meal. Took Max and the dogs out for a long walk around the neighborhood. Brett played some guitar. Max checking out new toys. Maddy got a new chew toy! Max had just turned 3.. Max woke me up at 7:30 so he could open presents! Came downstairs to find Amy hard at work making Monkeybread! Yes! Later that afternoon, I took Brett to a music store and bought him a guitar for Christmas! He'd been wanting to learn for a while. Learning that first Amaj chord! I was trying to make it down to Asheville, NC to meet up with Quinn and some friends before it got too late, so I packed up and said farewell around 5:30. Minnie Mouse and Curious George! In the afternoon, Amy got Max into his costume for his Halloween birthday party! Spent the afternoon hanging out in the backyard. Parents of the birthday boy! Happy August 2015! Rolling. We got up early on Sunday and went out for breakfast in the neighborhood. Reunited with mom in time for bed! ...and walked me to Dupont Circle to catch my bus back to NYC. Evening bath time with an adorable little walrus. Total naturals! ...like this excellent three-piece deluxe set of screen-cleaners! SCORE! Brett and Amy's apartment was full with all sorts of new baby gear, so they'd asked for no presents, but my mom still insisted on getting Brett "a little something"... When I arrived, I got to meet my three-week old nephew Max for the first time in person! Taking the hounds for a walk through suburbia. This bouquet of flowers is hiding exciting news... ...t-minus eight-weeks until my nephew Max shows up! On September 1st, I was down in south Jersey hanging out with my family. Happy August 2013! ...to visit with Bretty, Amy and my parents!
