...so that I could babysit baby Lukas while Mother of Dragons & Randy went out to a Halloween party! Such a good costume!
costumes
Later that afternoon I went shopping for an outfit for an upcoming costume-themed party called "THE FUTURE" at The Hacienda.

costumes
Birthday Monkey!
costumes
Minnie Mouse and Curious George!
costumes
In the afternoon, Amy got Max into his costume for his Halloween birthday party!
costumes
Brett & Me, Halloween 1989. I was Freddy Krueger. My brother asked me to help him look like a punk rocker. I dyed his hair pink, gave him Alice Cooper make-up and made him a rock-shirt with a bunch of hand-drawn logos of all the bands I was into! (I can't read them all, but I do see Anthrax, Metallica, Van Halen and TESLA! hahah).
costumes
...but went the extra mile this year and went full grim reaper. Including eight-inch platform boots (that made me 6'7"!) chain, hour glass hung around my neck and real scythe (not pictured).
costumes
Turn Back Time Cher with Battleship Boyfriend was my fave costume at Alan's party!
costumes
Mer was there with her new boyfriend, Dylan. Classic Cowboy / Mouse combo!
costumes
For your sins.

...and was almost unrecognizable! Haha. Grant's friend Leanne was visiting from Vancouver.
costumes
Meredith fashioned her own pink rat shoes out of tape and ribbons!

...decided that would make a good first Halloween / birthday costume!
costumes
...I spotted this excellent pigeon costume complete with spoofed NYC Parks & Rec sign!
costumes
...is when I completely covered it with a garbage bag...
costumes
...as part of my Silver Linings Playbook themed costume...
costumes
Later that night, Mer and I went out to meet Mandy & Mike for a quick Halloween drink in the neighborhood. Here's Mike bonding with another Captain America. October 2012, was a doozy!
costumes
On the subway ride home I stood next to this guy's awesome Grant Wood costume on the platform. Haha.
costumes
This is the only other photo I took.
costumes
The meeting of the costumes!
costumes
...and Nick's AMAZING outfit.
costumes
...before Tyson & Zack came around to make sure everyone was suited up in appropriate "seventies porno" attire for dinner!
costumes
Robber Randy and Lydia Deetz-Lezark!
costumes
OMFG, Quinn, Karen, Gurj and Sarah came in one of the best GROUP COSTUMES I've ever seen: the In Living Color FLY GIRLS. Ahahahahahah. That makes Meredith Sexy Fire Marshall Bill?

Grant and his homemade DROOG costume!
costumes
Maddy has a natural affinity towards lederhosen.
costumes
Meredith shows off her final take on Sexy Fireman!
costumes
A little after ten, Ellen and her NEW BOYFRIEND Hans came over to pre-game. Octoberfest & Sexy Airline Stewardess

costumes
Solid Robert Palmer & Co.
costumes
Dave showed up with a solid nerd costume.
costumes
The first time I met Jason he was dressed up as Clark W. Griswold from Christmas Vacation. Squirrel on back = perfect.

We were "greeted" as we arrived.
costumes
A friend of his was working to clean up the BP oil spill in the gulf and when he heard we need three costumes on short notice, he let him borrow some gear! After getting suited up...

We ran into two other winged-dogs on the short walk!
costumes
...to go to the Halloween Dog Parade. Meredith sewed Maddy this "bug" outfit.
costumes
Slash and Axl. Haha.
costumes
They even pulled out all sorts of old school costume performances!
costumes
After we ate, we walked around the terminal a bit and looked at some ceremonial African clothing they had on display at a big exhibit. This is basically where the boogey man came from.
costumes
While browsing the costumes we got distracted by the most budget ever Ali G costume. Complete with Jamie Foxx's little brother (who clearly has Down's) modeling on the package. Hahaha.
costumes
Then the costumes came out: Here's the birthday boy doing his rendition of Bjork's "Oh, So Quiet!"
costumes
Oh wait, you mean you thought I was kidding about there being Klingons walking around in there? Seriously, as funny as this picture is, this guy was TOTALLY intimidating. He had a deep, booming voice and refused to break from his Klingon character in any way. Imagine being all drunk and having this dude come over and be like "Tell me: your mission is going well?" And when you try to fuck with him or laugh he just glares and says something else equally abrasive in Klingon (yes, Klingon as in the made up language that nerds have actually taught themselves to speak ). Too fucking much. After like ten minutes of awkward, forced sci-fi non-conversation (half of it in a made-up language, no less), I finally convinced him to let me "capture our likeness together on my holographic print cube." Jesus.
costumes
Hey, it's Gizmo! This is totally one of those costumes where you buy the pattern and the fabric and your mom would sew it for you. When I was seven years old my mom hooked me up with an "ET the Extraterrestrial" jammie that turned out looking a lot like this one. (She even put a little pen light in the finger so I could make that shit light up. I love you mom!)
costumes
Dick and George were on hand.
costumes
We met up with Michael "PLO Member" Schickenberg and Mike "The Mailman" Doyle and decided to hit up some parties.
costumes
"Mommy why is Santa dressed up like a nun? I'm scared mommy!"
costumes
...Mr. T! "I pity the fool who...who...shot me in the face with silly string!"
costumes
...Diane Keaton! Hahahah. And...
costumes
...a lady in a giant, scary Cabbage Patch Kid type costume...
costumes
On Saturday afternoon I went over Ellen's house to play dress up for a photo shoot.

Mona and Emilie in their homemade costumes (NERDS!).
costumes
When I arrived, it turns out I had caught Emilie, Mona and another friend in the midst of making homemade costumes. Hahaha.
costumes
On Sunday afternoon I was out in Brooklyn so I called up Emilie and told her I was in the neighborhood!

When even the costumes failed to draw the crowd's eyes from the show Leila and her fellow make-out co-conspiritors were putting on, Matt had no choice but to pull out the nuclear weapon of karaoke moves, the "Knee Swing from the Water Pipe." Holy fucking shit.
costumes
With Leila having left the stage to get back her make out, Sid was forced to break out the big guns in order to hold the audience's attention. That's right: COSTUME TIME! He enlisted Dan to be his lil' Meg White and represented with a kick-ass version of The White Stripes' "Fell In Love With A Girl."

And then came the PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE, the asian man in a blonde wig. So choice.

Big Daddy tearing it up with Huey Lewis' seminal "I Want a New Drug." Homeboy kicked it so hard he needed not one, but two blonde, hula-clad male dancers. Check out that face; the urgency - can't you see how much Big Daddy wants that new drug?

costumes
More Sid & Buddy karaoke. Sid (dressed as Siouxsie?) singing and Buddy on the inflatable axe.
costumes
And for the big finale of the night, Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody!"
costumes
What, you don't believe me? See those two smoking hot, blonde hula girls? Yeah, that's right! They got so hot and bothered by my karaoke jam that right after i was done singing they took me in the bathroom and I totally got down with both of them! So who's gay now, huh? Huh?
costumes
Yo, you can diss and say that karaoke's gay and all. But you clearly have no idea what you're talking about because karaoke makes chicks totally hot and then they want to do you.
costumes
...and my personal fave, Double Elton Johns!
costumes
Matt and Dan as the White Stripes...
costumes
Oh, did I forget to mention that they have a giant bag of costumes and (if you want) you can dress up as whoever you're singing a song by? Er, or as in this case, you can dress up in random, white jumpsuits. (Sorry guys, I forgot who you're supposed to be here!)
costumes
But oh! This is and easy one! As Axl and Slash...
