...Silversun Pickups play from the side-stage and laughed about how from a distance, Joe Lester, their keyboard player, looks like Chris Black doppleganger. (Only because of the beard and glasses from afar - up close, no dice).
After we'd gotten all settled in, this guy came out to explain that
we had been seated in different colored sections, and each section had a knight that we were supposed to cheer for.
Friday night I geeked out and played a marathon session of Dragon Age: Origins I played with a character that I tried to make look like Meredith because it's awesome to watch your wife wear armor and fight dragons. Haha.
...because he and Matt were dressed exactly like with matching haircuts and everything. (They're giving Vin & Marco back in their hey-day a run for their money)
On Saturday I got my suit back from the dry cleaner. The ties I'd dropped off were returned to me in a bag that looked like they had custom illustrated just for me.
IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE! This poor girl walked past me thinking she was my friend Sarah, I ran up behind her on the dance floor and started grinding all up in her booty from behind like POW! So I'm about 10 seconds into my booty dance when suddenly, the girl who is most-definitely NOT my friend Sarah turns around and just looks at me like, "Seriously?"
Instead of trying to explain, I ran away, went across the bar, found Sarah, dragged her across the bar and was like "THIS IS WHO I THOUGHT YOU WERE AND I'M SO SORRY!" Hahaha. Then I took this photo! Twinsies! (Sorry that you had to be subjected to the way I dance with all my poor female friends!)
I mean, it was like the electric violin scene from Revenge of the Nerds (speaking of awesome 80s movies!) come to life. So of course we had to stay and see what he was all about.
After Lil Fatty's band was finished, the three of us were about to leave, until we saw that the next act coming to the stage was a guy in pin-striped pants that looked just like Sarah's brother Lawrence and played a solo ELECTRIC VIOLIN.
...Kip Winger! Hahahahahaha. Holy fucking shit. If we got David some AquaNet and teased his shit out a bit, you probably would think that these were photographs of the same guy! The same guy showing off just a couple of shirts from his extensive "skimpy shirts" collection. (PS - if you say "skimpy shirts" out loud repeatedly, you will eventually say "shrimpy skirts" by accident.)
After our beach stroll, we were walking back to our hotel and we can across one of the the funiest bizarro dopplegangers I've ever seen! Looks like Bizarro Midget Grant Stoddard's been Big Game Fishin' again!
So we were so totally caught up in making faces that we pretty much forgot about karaoke at least until a professional Frank Sinatra impersonator hit the stage and busted out some Frank.
Not only did he sound spot-on, he even looked a WHOLE lot like him. It was like being in the room with Ol' Blue Eyes himself (you know, except with a whole lot less-women being beat-up).
As long time readers of this site know, I have a ton of bizarro-lookalikes: but the one that cracks my friends up the most, is the fact that I look quite a bit like Ellen DeGeneres. I was watching her comedy special and paused and thought I'd captured quite a likeness so I took this pic to immortalize it. Hahah.
I was upstairs and I spotted a David lookalike (why he was dressed up as a character from Star Trek, I'm not sure). Anyway, we asked him to kiss Leigh and then I sent this picture to Kim (David's GF who had gone back to the UK a few days ahead of David) and was like "David's totally out of control! He came to Misshapes dressed up as a guy from Star Trek and was trying to make out with all the girls there!" Hahaha. She almost believed me.
Late night I went to my new "home" at Sarah's apartment. We stayed up late watching TV and playing dress up. Here's Sarah's impression of an Olsen twin.
...this incredible photo op. Hahahah. How fucking scary is photo? Will looks 800 times more like Bad Sensei than I look like Johnny. His resemblance is uncanny! If there had been a lookalike "Daniel-san" in the bar that night, he totally would've shit his pants.
...and her drunk friend Arianna (who I think is a shoe-in to win the "Women Who Look Sorta Look Like C.C. DeVille from Poison" Contest"). Awww, c'mon! I'm not saying....
Check out my ghetto Photoshop compositie for comparison. Creepy, right? (We've been trying to get them together for a real photo together but we're afraid the world might end if they touch). One of these guys is the youngest photographer to have a solo show at the Whitney. The other has an awesome web site that's main distinction is that it's updated even less frequently than mine! Can you guess who's who?
