Love these two! ...for the Pride Parade! ...over to the West Village... Watched a man in a pirate costume pedal by on a recombinant bike that was housed in a painted, cardboard facade of a pirate ship. Lol. Looked out the window to find the paper mache dragon I'd seen my neighbors making in the garden a few days earlier! Looked really great after being painted! Woke up Sunday morning to the sounds of a street parade! Rolando also had some paper mache magic tree that was decorated with his famous soda cans he turns into metal flowers! ...and the annual neighborhood tradition where they re-enact the crucifixion in PARADE form. (This Jesus has a wheel on the bottom of his cross to make it easier, tho!) On walk home stopped to admire some kind of religious parade going by. On Sunday afternoon, I woke up to a street fair going on outside my window on Avenue C. Army of NYPD gathering in prep for the parade. On Thursday, biking over to ShopKeep's offices near the Holland Tunnel, I had to figure out to cross the Halloween Parade route! We sat in the park and watched a Catholic parade. ...to show off their stuff! Back in town that evening, a high school marching band walked the streets... Watched some kind of kid's Thanksgiving parade go down the street on Wednesday morning. At the time I was obsessed with filming everything using my new camera's slow motion capture. Once of these days I'm going to edit together a video of dancing and face-shaking slowed-down goodness! Great outfits. I was out running errands on Saturday and ran smack into the middle of the Dance Parade on my walk home. Congrats! Awesome. I ate a sandwich outside during the lunch break and watched Tom & Zach pass me on a float celebration their marriage. ...this. Hahaha.
