Meredith got up to leave well-before the game was over and as she got on her coat I asked her, "Headed out to another gathering?" "Nah," she replied, "just don't give a shit about who wins." Haha.
This photo makes me LOL every time I look at it. Sarah looks like she's preaching and that girl in the background is doing her best to politely wait out the offer of a shared microphone. Hahah.
Because hey, karaoke! Here's Gurj and an awesomely red-faced Lawrence. Happy Birthday! This was the second karaoke birthday party that Karaoke Killed the Cat hosted. The first one I'd been to was in 2006 and it was epic.
I think we were taking a "sneaky photo" of the girl in the white fur hat in the background, but I forget why. I like this photo because Lawrence looks like a proud eight year-old for some reason. Haha.
On Saturday night we had some people over our apartment for my birthday. Lawrence was the first to arrive at midnight (he was all dressed up because he had to be at work at 3am!).
I mean, it was like the electric violin scene from Revenge of the Nerds (speaking of awesome 80s movies!) come to life. So of course we had to stay and see what he was all about.
After Lil Fatty's band was finished, the three of us were about to leave, until we saw that the next act coming to the stage was a guy in pin-striped pants that looked just like Sarah's brother Lawrence and played a solo ELECTRIC VIOLIN.
After getting settled in, it was present time! One of Ellen's gift was a pack of "nerd themed" temporary tattoos. She opened them on the spot and we started applying them. Mollie (seen here with Creepor Lawrence) went first and opted for a classy winky emoticon on her wrist.
Later that night we went out to celebrate Lawrence's Birthday! Happy Bday, my tuxedoed friend! (This is the only photo I have from the night for some terrible reason. The pics from
his last birthday party are EPIC!)
Lawrence, Mandy and Michael! At first I thought Mandy and Michael were sharing a floating red leather hat, but that's when I looked closer and noticed Mr. Creepers McPeepers getting his L U R K on in the background.
Brother Lawrence was there playing tunes. BTW, what's he doing in this photo? Writing in his Emo Diary? Signing autographs? Getting mad digits? Careful ladies, Lawrence is like a male-version of the character portrayed in Hall & Oates' incredible funk-synth-ballad, Maneater.
Lawrence was waaaay to drunk to make it home from his party so he spent the night on our couch! We spent the next day working off our hangovers with a little Wii Bowling! Here's Lawrence showing off his bowling form!
Considering the timestamp on this photo says 4:09am, I'm guessing this photo was taken as (a totally blottoed) Lawrence took the stage to (angrily) thank everyone for coming before he sang the last song of the night. Lawrence, why are you waving a dollar around? Does anyone remember what was going on here?
Here they are kicking off the night (and you can see the tuxedoed birthday boy in the background). (Bonus points to Lord Easy for his homemade Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five On the Strength shirt!)
Happy Birthday, Brother Lawrence! I love that he wore a tux. So great. All the photos that have the red "ST" logo in the bottom left corner were taken by Brad Walsh for Stolen Transmission and I stole a bunch of his pictures because 1) They're great. And 2) because I was so busy getting drunk and singing karaoke that I didn't take as many pics as I normally do!
...a motherfucking STAGE DIVE into the crowd! Thanks again to Brad Walsh for being there with a camera, otherwise this moment would've been lost to history forever!
Mandy's such a size queen. Check her out doing the whole "his banana is bigger than his monkey-penis" comparison! (And by the way, is it wrong that this picture sort of turns me on?)
Brother Lawrence was there too! A few drinks later and somehow an arm wrestling competition broke out. (Which has happened more than I'd like to admit).
Me and Lawrence (Sarah's brother of Brother Lawrence fame). And yes, I am wearing the same ghetto-ass bow-tie-drawn-on-with-marker shirt I made for the MisShapes Prom that was a few days prior.
Gina and Lawrence. (By the way, Gina smells really good. She accidentally left her coat at my house and my room smelled all nice and girly for a few weeks until I returned it to her.)
