I think we were taking a "sneaky photo" of the girl in the white fur hat in the background, but I forget why. I like this photo because Lawrence looks like a proud eight year-old for some reason. Haha.
I passed the time in line by pretending to take pictures of Dennis so that I could capture a few surreptitious pictures of this awesomely awful "Growing Up Gotti" dude that was in line behind us. Sweet line-beard, dude! But then I stopped because I think he was catching on to me and the only thing worse than getting beat up by a 17 year-old is getting beat up by a 17 year-old with that wears foundation make up! Hahah.
Dude, you always know when you've gone to the beach with Vin because when you get home and you look at all the pics on your camera, there's always all these pictures of strange girls' bums. And you're all like "Who's bum is that? I don't know this girl!" And then you're like, "Oh, shit! Vin!"
Just when we thought nothing exciting would happend this guy strolls by wearing a black t-shirt with polyester overalls and I chased him for a few blocks until I managed to get close enough to snap this photo. (You think that ponytail's hot? Too bad you can't see that the front of his hair was cut short and spikey. Now that you know that, how much hotter is that ponytail?)
So check it out: we're at Pianos and all of these people are rushing around whispering "Heidi Klum's here! Heidi Klum's here!"So Michael and I (keep in mind were hopped up EarlyTimes style) decidedthat we'd track her down and get a pic with her for this site. So we're looking all over the place and finally we go into the backroom downstairs (where it's really dark), and we see this blonde sitting against the wall with a guy.
Michael (squinting):
"Hey, is that her?" Me (swaying):
"Ummm, I don't think so."
Michael:
"Yeah, me either."
Me:
"We should get a pic of her anyway."
Look at her face in the background - we were trying to be discrete but I think she was onto us.
Karen Landis does not fuck around. She went right up to him and started chatting him up at the bar, he bought her a beer before she posed for this photo.
This crazy old guy was on to us. We kept setting up scenarios where we could capture him on film but he wasn't having any of it. Finally, Doug mosied up to the bar and got him. Doug get bonus points for the face he's making.
First Victims. We kept walking back and forth in front of this couple that were eating their dinner outside trying to get them to look. Finally, Doug got their attention by pretending to yell at me for taking his photo.
At this point, we've gone back to the apt, eaten our food and told everybody else about "the game." On the way out to the bar, we managed to snag this group shot of us with more unsuspecting bench occupants.
This woman is the sister of the woman who owns the bar. For this photo, the plan was that I would distract her with conversation while Doug snapped our photo. She wanted to know why we were taking pictures so we explained our little game to her. She thought it was funny and suggested that...
