On Saturday night I went to Grant's Allen St apt...
point
Trying to get them to look at the camera.
point
Met up with Grant afterwards to a celebratory meal and a radio show debriefing!
point
We say goodbye like ET by touching fingertips. Hahah. BING! See you next time, lil bud.
point
...to sit for a photo on a star-shaped piece of ice.
point
PRUUUUNE! Works for dudes too, apparently!
point
point
Sister Jenny does not approve!
point
Max likes to touch fingers with me because I say BING like a bell each time. haha.
point
Closing time!
point
Woke up with a terrible sore throat and fever on Saturday.
point
Look at the camera!
point
...a morning dance show!
point
Not only is Grant the kind of friend that drives to the airport at midnight to pick you up, unfurl a flag and feed you Canadian donuts, he also stocks the car with exoctic local delicacies like ketchup-flavored potato chips!
point
On Friday evening, I had dinner with this lovely gentleman.
point
Maddy lifts her paw and points every time she sees a squirrel that she'd like to chase.
point
...that are very difficult to eat if you're wearing dark clothes.
point
Fork-point and a let-me-tell-you-another-thing.
point
Hahah. I love this photo! He still has no idea...
point
...Jared was like "Whatever you do, don't touch THAT!"
point
As we climbed the steps, we spotted a few...
point
Taking a break in the shade.
point
Meredith cooking up a Monday evening feast for me and Ellen!
point
Catalog shoot gone improv!
point
Chris picked Grant and I up and we headed north to Andy & Pepper's house. Dreamcatcher leads the way.
point
The show-stealer of the evening was most definitely Hans' BRUTAL sunburn. Haha.
point
The aquarium isn't very wide, but it wrapped all the way down the corridor. So there were always new fish swimming into your room! Meredith spotted...
point
Power of Michael McDonald!
point
Grant and his homemade DROOG costume!
point
...score some cookies! I went to go see the movie 50/50 and Mer and Gurj went to Irving Plaza to visit Ellen at a Third Eye Blind DVD shoot. (No, seriously!)
point
Here's me a few hours later after my new board clocked me in the face. I buried my nose, went over the front of the board, and when I came up for air, the edge of my board bonked me in the forehead right above my left eye and the sharp-edge of one of the fins when into the meat of my nose where the bridge meets the brow. I saw stars and had those few moments where I was afraid to take my hand away from my face because I was expecting a lot of blood. All things considered, I got off relatively unscathed!
point
...so that...
point
And then a few blocks further, 166 Sanchez where I ended up living for about five months!
point
...has some pretty special specialty shops. Oh, hello there crystal dildo!
point
Haha.
point
I think Gurj is showing off the paper work that says Sarah can be the officiant and Jenny & Josh's upcoming wedding!
point
Bouquet serenade.
point
Side-vent pants!
point
A really not-so-cool thing is the cone-shaped metal sensor that leaves a divit in your forehead! (The new headset is much more improved...and cheaper).
point
Me with a 10' longboard.
point
...down.
point
There was also a NASTY MAGIC onesie in the mix!
point
Gurj rolled over and realized her wet bathing suit made a happy face. Haha.
point
So good.
point
I tried a new place for a haircut and they have me SPOCK bangs!
point
Bad monkey.
point
There was a Whistler billboard at the airport and you can see Aki and Grant's apartment in the photo they used. Here's Grant pointing to their apt window!
point
Culinary skills: I has them.
point
Meredith admiring Katie's well-stocked and meticulously labeled closet. (OTK = entire box of "over the knee" socks)
point
I woke up on Sunday morning with crazy post-Halloween hair and (secret tranny!) residual eye make up!
point
Please return to your seat, sir.
point
Snacks and boners are that way, sir!
point
You're the man now, dog!
point
Married guy!
point
Showing off the Edie shirt that I "borrowed" from Leigh.
point
..the sign spun around! Haha.
point
...I was experiencing LEVEL 4 amounts of pain and discomfort. The doctor told me I didn't have swine flu; just a nasty cold...
point
According to the Wong / Baker Faces Rating Scale...
point
When we got to the doctor's office, they gave me this face mask to wear! Remember back two years ago there was a big panic about swine flu? They had just started quarantining people and I was worried that they weren't going to let me board our honeymoon plane to Bali if I was running a fever!
point
Uh-oh! Looks like the old ball and chain is demanding to be taken home. Haha.
point
ONE FOOT!
point
I saved the two biggest boxes for last. The first turned out to be a rice cooker. Hey, what kind of birthday present is this?
point
Ooops! Haha.
point
Bros on a balcony.
point
Leigh showing off the burn she got trying to flip over a huge frittata she was cooking for dinner. When she got burned, she tilted the pan and the whole frittata hit the kitchen floor and exploded. First words after she was finished tending to her burn? "NOWWHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO FOR DINNER?"
point
Who's happy summer's here? THIS GUY!
point
DOWN HOUND!
point
I had off on work on Monday. Leigh and I went shopping for a hearing aid that would subtly allow us to conceal our hearing impairment! Why look hearing impaired when you can like like a DOUCHE instead? Haha.
point
Look, she's one of you guys!
point
I don't have the whole list of items, but in most of the photos I have, I think it's pretty evident. BMW parked in the LES! 5 ponts!
point
Court and John Berk! The open bar ended at 11pm, but Court made an executive decision to throw down some plastic and keep the party train rolling. Yes! Love how the Cosby sweater has made it over to John at this point.
point
No matter how many times I watch them, they're still funny. We're hooked.
point
Mandy as George Michael makes me feel funny.
point
This photo makes me laugh out loud every time I see it. Soooo good. (Bonus points to Jessica for finger-pointing like a professional wrestler from the 80s. Yes!)
point
Amy called Jen up to stand next to the beautiful cake she made. I love Amy's expression and how she's pointing at the cake and at Jen like "She made this! I know!"
point
Check out...
point
After, Scott and I went back to Leigh's and she made Ritz Cracker and Fake-chicken nugget mini-sandwiches.
point
On Sunday morning the dishwasher overflowed with suds because someone put the wrong kind of detergent in there! I love Meredith's expression in this photo.
point
Hahaha. We got to Hanger Bar and it was practically empty. Which meant that Sarah and Karen were extra excited when we showed up with a whole crew.
point
You're the man now, dog. Hahaha.
point
Here's Meredith realizing that there's a whole bunch of her friends from out of town hiding in the corner!
point
I see you crouching down low over there with your camera! DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT TAKING AN ASS PHOTO!
point
I like how it looks like Meredith's in awe of Leigh's dramatic, finger-pointing dance move.
point
Ok, now this photo is taken about 30 minutes later. The number of people behind the decks has gone from two to four.
point
And Meredith! Five!
point
"Wait, one minute please."
point
Hahaha.
point
These girls were cute tourists from, er, somewhere in Asia and Tim The Cap'n sauntered over and offered to take a picture of them in the sunset with their camera. After he did that, he suggested that I take a photo of the three of them with my camera. If it had been a scene in Swingers, it most definitely would have been described as "Money." (He even managed a disco point and a Blue Steel.)
point
Same goes for this girl. I no longer have any recollection of who she is, but apparently, we bonded enough that night that I apparently felt comfortable sniffing her hair for this photo (while double-fisting a PBR and Johnny combo, no less).
point
Check shows off his Grill Slinger tool belt! Hahaha.
point
I love this photo of Frank. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this cake was for Lydia's birthday.
point
Softer than a piper man one day it called to YOU!
point
"You two gents are certainly comfortable with your sexuality!"

Which the locals affectionately refer to as "The D.P." (which is accidental comedy gold as far as I'm concerned).

When most people think of New Jersey, they think of Guidos and horrible orange-women with belly-jewelry. While that's certainly something that Jersey should be famous for, what most people don't realize is that if you go into any part of western NJ near the PA border, Jersey is totally filled with rednecks! The DP was the embodiment of Jersey redneckness. We walked in the place and it was filled with bearded men wearing cowboy hats singing along to the country music that was blasting over the PA. Scott looked like he fit in, but me, I looked like someone in need of an ass-kicking so we only stayed for a beer.
point
"No, you're the man now, dawg."
point
And check out what Grant ended up spotting on the bookshelf...
point
After we had a few drinks, we had a dance party in the kitchen...
point
Amy was the big winner.
point
Sarah came into my room to help me set up the new printer and saw that I was working on this web site and writing captions about the night that I went to MisShapes after Bev's wedding and we all got REALLY drunk and I totally caught Leigh on cam reaching down Sarah's dress to cop a feel!
point
After the show, I went down the street to say hi to Sarah and Karen who were DJing at Movida. I quietly snuck up the stairs that lead up to the elevated DJ booth as I was planning on scaring them - but Karen totally turned around a caught me getting ready to jump out and yell.
