Lol. ...to celebrate Leigh's birthday on a fancy hotel roof! Hawaiian fireworks gang. Thanks for having us over for a such a fun party, Siege & Katie! <3 Went up onto my hotel's roof to run around the track, exercise and rip a few doobers. Cool place to watch the sun set! They have a great roofdeck view. Went up to the roof to enjoy the view and try out the new bud I'd just purchased. Pomegranate tree! Met up with these two in the afternoon, and we hit the town to eat and run some errands. Grabbed me a lounge chair... It wasn't windy or anything. 2014 was all about messy hair. ...the 4th of July fireworks. On Friday night I went over to Sarah's rooftop to watch... On Thursday night I went out to Brooklyn to celebrate Cat's birthday! We hung out on the roof deck... I went out to Siege's with Grant and we watched the excellent Beware of Mr. Baker. Crescent moon and rooftop antennae on the walk over. We cheered them on. The neighbors across the street even treated us to a sort-of-synchronized sparkler dance! ...to head out to Brooklyn... ...they had a really cool East Village roof. Haha. We left around eleven... We hid out from the hoi polloi on the rainy-roof where Leigh turned the blankets the hotel had laid out into snowstorm chic. (Bonus points for her drink balanced on the fire box in the background!) ...I managed to find the party-willpower to meet this one at a Fashion Week after-party at Le Bain. ...Happy New Year! It was super-cold outside, so after we finished our champagne toast, we moved the party back inside. Countdown to 2013... ...on to the roof! Word of caution for you northerns who find your way south of the line: Cornhole means something entirely different down here. We spent the evening at a nearby rooftop bar. Blue skies, pink twilight clouds and a fingernail moon over the East Village rooftops. ... the new rooftop space they opened in the McKitterage Hotel above Sleep No More. Aki was in town visiting and Grant organized a get together at Gallow Green... Aki, Liz, Mer & Amanda. Wild. Look, Murray Hill! The East Village has not-so-subtly changed. Meredith woke me because I was having some weird about a dream where someone was trying to steal my baby dragon and I was making all sorts of noises. Haha. ...a little after midnight I went out to Katie D's rooftop party in Williamsburg! Sweet summer roof. ...for a swim. ...the clouds had rolled in and it was a bit too cold... ...so that we could enjoy the evening.... We headed up to the amazing roof deck... Looking casual while leaning backwards over a glass railing 196' feet up is easier said than done. After we'd finished shooting with Junior, we raced back up to the roof to take advantage of the gorgeous sunset. Graffiti and laundry. Josh and Tyson... Later that afternoon, I went up to Matt's amazing pool roof! ...went down a ladder... ...are pallets of plants! NYC rooftop garden! Past the skylight... Amazing. ...and found myself on their massive roof! There are all sorts of different levels to the spa. Then up on the roof are a bunch of outdoor pools! Awesome even when it's a little cloudy. On Sunday afternoon we went over to Matt's roof! Step 3: While holding your breath, stand up and fall back into the person behind. The person behind you will pick you up and squeeze you and for some reason, this will usually instantly make you lose consciousness. Step 2: Take a deep breath and hold it. We were talking about funny stuff we did when we were in high school and "make me faint" came up. Haha. Here's Kristen getting ready to try to make Max faint. Step 1: Lean over and hyperventilate for 60 seconds. Later that night I met up with Miye, Kristen and Max on their awesome little roof deck on Bleecker. Bad monkey. Monday was a little cloudy and overcast. In the afternoon we went over to Matt's apartment to hang out on his roof. It was a perfect early spring night and his building has an awesome roof deck. Josh was in town and came and met us. Pauly, Kaitie, Mer, Ellen and two other party peoples. Roof. We went to some party on the top floor of the hotel on Rivington. The northern view from the roof deck is really beautiful. I can see our own pool-less roof from here! And a god-damn pool! Beautiful views of the city... ...and went up to his ridiculous roof. Sick apartment across the street. ..and up on to their building's awesome roof deck. Roof Pizza. Later that night, we came back to the East Village and drank beers on Pauly's roof with Pizza the dog. Spring nights on the roof are wonderful. Little did Lisa know that I had been willing him to do this with my mind FOR HOURS! Pizza the dog raced across the roof... Taking her easy.
