Ellen came downstairs from the loft at 6am to laugh at me and Hans for still being wide awake and discussing about whether consciousness precedes matter or succeeds matter. And then she used my own camera to document what I'd been using the arts and crafts supplies to do...
...try to explain the double-slit experiment and how it showed light behave as either a particle or wave depending on how it's measured and what it might mean about consciousness and matter. Other topics I wanted to ask a skeptical person about included whether or not there's a secret space program that uses a next-generation propulsion-system (rockets, ha!) and whether or not Edward Snowden is a real whistler blower or a limited-hangout to advertise the global panopticon. 2014 off to a rock-solid start!
Before adjourning the party, we played a round of the fantastically-terrible BeanBoozle! You spin a spinner to determine which color jellybean you eat. But each "color" has 2 different flavors, a good one and and a terrible one! It could be Chocolate Pudding or it could be Dog Food! Buttered Popcorn or Rotten Egg? Peach or BARF? You get the idea. Made us all laugh (and gag) a lot.
