    Bravo and kudos to you and Meredith for being so civil about your breakup. It's always a shitty situation but it seems like you guys decided to keep your emotions in check and be mature about it. Also so good to see you in your renewed relationship with Grant -- as a very long time reader, I remember when he wasn't in your life and during this time of change for you it's good that he was around.

    that is maybe the cutest picture of maddy of all time. look at her little long speckly skull! i'm so sorry about you and meredith, but i hope maddy is continuing to give you comfort and warmth. i'm glad you weren't alone when you came back from new year-- it's great that you went out at a time when it would have been really easy to stay in and get sad and fester, but coming home from social experiences when you're already a bit down can leave you quite bereft. my point is, snuggles are healing and maddy is a hero!
