I really like parties unless they are for me and then they are much harder for me to enjoy. Why is this? I thought this is something that would be different by now, but with each year that passes I go "Oh, I guess this is just how I am?" It was nice to meet some of Brian's friends. I ended up chatting with the guy next to me who told me that he'd started a small punk rock label back in day that we wasn't sure if I'd heard of it or not... ...this time we headed over to Cielo to go dancing at 1am... After drunkenly crashing around in the woods, I came inside at 3am to find these guys crashed out on adjacent couches. We managed to get the entire gang together for a group photo before... Burger in the right. Pizza in the left. 100! Guest of honor! Just enjoy the photos of chill bros caught habitating in their natural party-cabin habitat. In addition to the big lawn they also have... They have a massive backyard... Here's to at least another twenty. After BBQ, a bunch of different people played music. And then after a few songs, the musicians invited kids and anyone else who wanted to play music up to join them. I wish every party had this. It's so weird that we mostly listen to recorded music at parties instead of make it. Happy June, 2013! Congrats, Grant! On Tuesday evening we gathered at the Blind Barber to celebrate... Later Friday night, I took the MetroNorth train up to Norwalk, CT to attend a reunion party for people that used to work at... Thanks for having us all over! ... overlooks the living room! Thanks for having us, Cynthia! (And letting us play with your little lacy hat). Wednesday evening food party at Casa Wang was... The party was to celebrate Opening Ceremony's 10 year anniversary. After some mingling... ...and congratulatory catch-up... ...and a whole roomful of people he knew yelled SURPRISE! Janice and Meredith helping with party favors. Cupcakes and party horns. ...at the request of Matt's then girlfriend Jenny. Matt had just gotten back in town after a long tour and she had organized a surprise party for him. Later that evening I met up with Caiti and we went over to Cynthia's for a birthday taco party! ...Caiti's birthday party! Sarah was there! Last of the late night partiers! I've been going out dancing with this guy for 15 years. Haha. The dance floor was still going strong when we quietly sneaked out just before 4am. When the dance floor started getting serious... A few minutes before midnight, everyone came out onto the deck to welcome in 2012 with... After dinner, we went across the street to the beach house which had since been completed decked out with... After the fireworks show was over... ....Office Holiday Party! ...and went to an awesome house party that Hans knew about a few blocks from our place on Ave C. Fought our way to the back where we found some people we knew! It was pretty crowded! Georgi, getting the job done! ...a little after midnight I went out to Katie D's rooftop party in Williamsburg! A song from 2004 perhaps? Bedroom spillover. Hot Karla was there? ...and then later that night went to some crazy house party at 3A! (I don't remember what this was for - anyone?) Not one, but TWO king cakes! A little after 2am, the king cakes came out! Good times. Mardi gras living room! With the party in full swing... ..and headed down the street en masse to a local restaurant. So many plates of goodies to outfit your taco.
