After work, I went up to Grand Central for a Modem Media.Poppe Tyson (MMPT) reunion that some of my former co-workers had organized. MMPT was my first job out of college in 1998. Here's me with THE BEEBS!
Bernie and I had already eaten lunch two hours previously, but John said that since we were in Atlanta, we had to go eat BBQ. He took us to a place called "Daddy D'z BBQ Joynt." "But John," we protested, "we're not hungry!" "Don't worry," he winked, "you'll have room for this."
When we got out of meeting we had some time to kill before we had to head back to the airport and I remember that my good friend (and former ModemMedia co-worker) John McHale lives in Atlanta. I called him and found out that he his work was just a few blocks away from where we were calling from. He hopped in his car and five short minutes later, Johnny was on the spot.
We decided that if we didn't have an embarrassing picture of Frency,
we'd invent one. So we decided to make Geoff NAMBLA'S Member of the
Year. For those of you not "in the know," NAMBLA is the North
American Man/Boy Love Association.
(No, I'm not kidding.)
Okay, at this point it starting to show that the party was open bar all night. After watching me jump over my leg, an overconfident Josh Newman says "Hey, anyone can do that." He's not even holding his foot and he still couldn't do it.
Geoff G. and myself decided to come into work dressed up as each other for Halloween. Geoff simply mussed his hair, took off his glasses and put on what he said were "crappy" clothes (not so subtly implying that he thinks I wear crappy clothes). I dyed my hear black, but on broken glasses, gave myself a mono-brow and made sure my fly was unzipped. Oh, yeah...and put on the obligatory "I Kiss My Boss' Ass" Cary Rulz sign. Here we are posing with each other's bosses.
Impressed with our seal-like abilities to catch flying seafood, the crazy-ass guy stepped it up a notch and started flinging the shrip with some serious altitude.
