Nice to see so many faces that I hadn't seen in almost 15 years!

Later Friday night, I took the MetroNorth train up to Norwalk, CT to attend a reunion party for people that used to work at...
modem media
...ModemMedia, the first place I worked after college in 1998!
modem media
After work, I went up to Grand Central for a Modem Media.Poppe Tyson (MMPT) reunion that some of my former co-workers had organized. MMPT was my first job out of college in 1998. Here's me with THE BEEBS!

Bernie and I had already eaten lunch two hours previously, but John said that since we were in Atlanta, we had to go eat BBQ. He took us to a place called "Daddy D'z BBQ Joynt." "But John," we protested, "we're not hungry!" "Don't worry," he winked, "you'll have room for this."

When we got out of meeting we had some time to kill before we had to head back to the airport and I remember that my good friend (and former ModemMedia co-worker) John McHale lives in Atlanta. I called him and found out that he his work was just a few blocks away from where we were calling from. He hopped in his car and five short minutes later, Johnny was on the spot.

We decided that if we didn't have an embarrassing picture of Frency, we'd invent one. So we decided to make Geoff NAMBLA'S Member of the Year. For those of you not "in the know," NAMBLA is the North American Man/Boy Love Association. (No, I'm not kidding.)
modem media
Mmmm...the advocacy of man-boy love never tasted so sweet!
modem media
Frenchy hides his face in mock-shame upon viewing his cake.
modem media
Then he, uh, blew it.
modem media
Then they got even weirder.
modem media
The cake to end all cakes.
modem media
Then things started getting weird.
modem media
What better way to subtly announce a birthday than with a 12-foot tall Pink Power Ranger placed at the entrance of your place of employment?
modem media
And then the next thing you know, he's busting out his Brazilian nipples.
modem media
Jess, Me, Goug and Stupid Newman (again...ugh!).
modem media
Josh and Erin. (Newman, close your mouth you god-damn mouth-breather).
modem media
Lino, the Brazilian stallion, started busting out old skool Zoro dances...
modem media
Okay, at this point it starting to show that the party was open bar all night. After watching me jump over my leg, an overconfident Josh Newman says "Hey, anyone can do that." He's not even holding his foot and he still couldn't do it.
modem media
Dave, Stupid Newman, Phoebs, Me.
modem media
Me out on the dance floor busting moves with MMPT VP, Art Melville
modem media
Everyone who's drunk, put yer thumbs up! Phoebs, Diane and Peter.
modem media
Tarquin and Alysha.
modem media
Some dude, Kim Konte and the Beebs.
modem media
Art and I doing the old "Get a load of this character's tie!"

Geoff G. and myself decided to come into work dressed up as each other for Halloween. Geoff simply mussed his hair, took off his glasses and put on what he said were "crappy" clothes (not so subtly implying that he thinks I wear crappy clothes). I dyed my hear black, but on broken glasses, gave myself a mono-brow and made sure my fly was unzipped. Oh, yeah...and put on the obligatory "I Kiss My Boss' Ass" Cary Rulz sign. Here we are posing with each other's bosses.
modem media
Lino showing off his "solid gold" dance moves! Check out the bling-finger action!
modem media
...to get rip-roaring drunk on the company's investors' dime! Erin Grimes, Lino Ribolla, Art Melville and me!
modem media
Shortly afterwards, Tony decided to leave Modem Media to take a job at GE Capital. We sent him off with class at the Black Duck.
modem media
Rob, Tony and me.
modem media
Mark Galley (who grew up with Tony) dishes out a smooch.
modem media
Tony Ialeggio catches a shrip flung with such force that he almost chokes on it to death.
modem media
Rob Powers likes to dance at dinner. Here he is doing a move he referred to as "Tha Sprinkler."
modem media
Impressed with our seal-like abilities to catch flying seafood, the crazy-ass guy stepped it up a notch and started flinging the shrip with some serious altitude.
modem media
Me and Phoebs.
modem media
The crazy-ass chef wowed us with several minutes of fire before he began...
modem media
...using his spatula to lauch little hot shrips up into the air and at our faces.
modem media
Here's the mock-up of my Compaq print-ad campaign that I showed to them during a presentation. Hahaha.
modem media
Katie Repetti looking like she right on target.

My former Compaq client prepares to catch a hot shrip with her eye.
