Hahaha. I love this photo. Look at the glee and excitement on everyone's face as Alysha and her friend get ready to square off (after a bunch of good-natured shit-talking). Yoni's totally cheering them on!
A week later I got a call from Alysha who was in town visiting from San Francisco! We went to Veselka and got our latke and pierogi on...and then headed over to the basement of Lit for some Sunday night karaoke action!
On the way home, I stopped at Bar Eleven (which is what the Annex used to be called!) so that Alysha who was still in town from SF could admire my sexy, sexy moustache.

The funniest part of the night is when Brian started telling everyone how earlier in the week, Alysha, who goes to SO MANY shows, saw that Corn Mo was going to be in town later on in the week and wanted to go to the show - not knowing that the only reason he was going to be on the west coast to play said show was because he was first flying out to play her private birthday party. Brian had to come up with this whole elaborate ruse to try to talk her out of going to the show.
Hey look! Alysha's back in town! And she got a new car! Here she is taking us kids out for a spin in her fancy new Audi wagon that she found on eBay. (Who buys a car on the national interweb? We are living IN THE FUTURE!)
The interview went great (as you know, I was offered the job and took it) and afterwards, we headed into San Francisco and met up with some friends for drinks.
After getting settled in at Uncle Ira's, we all headed to downtown SF to meet up with some friends (my friend Alysha, Jamie Waxman, who we know from NYC, and one of Jordana's good friends from school) and have some Thai food.
