Meredith's 25th Birthday

Awwww, guess who turned the big two-five? That's right! Baby girl did (er, like 18 months ago). Here's a recap of the party we had the night before her birthday, counting down to the birthday hurrah at midnight.

chuck, joann — We started off meeting Meredith's parents down on the edge of Chinatown for some Shabu Shabu!

If you've never been, shabu shabu restaurants have these bowls filled with broth that are countersunk into the table. You order a plate of "main ingredients," like vegetables, or beef, chicken, etc...and then you go to this huge salad bar type-thing and get all sorts of other vegetables and condiments (eggs, hot sauce, garlic).

Then, when you've got everything you think you're going to need, you make your own soup right there at the table! So fun!

katie, meredith — Then after dinner, we went over to Iggy's to meet up with a bunch and have some pre-dance party drinks. Katie and Mer.

meredith, sarah h — Meredith opening Siege and Katie's gift...

grant, meredith — Grant wanted to trade "headwear."

karen, sarah — After getting our pre-game on, we headed over to Orchard Bar for a Sara and Karen-fueled dance party! (Aw man, remember how fun Thursdays at the Orchard used to be? Boooo!).

If you look really carefully, you might be able to pick out the drunk birthday girl in the crown.
