Thursday, October 29th

On Thursday night I headed out to Geordon's birthday party at BEast. Meredith was going through a glass-etching phase and gave me this martini glass with Geordon's name etched into it!

alexis, justin, sarah — Alexis, Justin and Sarah.

justin, leigh, ryan m — Leigh, Ryan and Justin.

me, sarah — Me and Sarah.

me, nazita — I ran into Nazita who I hadn't seen since right before I left for my first trip to Thailand in 2005! It was Nazita who ended up putting my in touch with her friend Claire in Bangkok!

leigh, me — Cab home with a masked Lezark and a "Who the F**CK is Ultragrrrl.com Swag Bag" Swag Bag. Haha.

Friday, October 30th

meredith — On Friday night, Meredith and I had a spooky night at home enjoying some Curly's Vegetarian Lunch (mmmmm)....

...and resting up for the main Halloween event on Saturday night by watching Eddie Murphy as a Caribbean vampire in Vampire in Brooklyn.

Saturday, October 31st

ellen, katie h, sarah — On Saturday evening, Sarah, Ellen and Kaitie came over for some Halloween pre-gaming at our place.

meredith — Meredith dressed up as a stewardess!

meredith — Snacks and boners are that way, sir!

sarah — Sarah went as a Clockwork Orange droog.

ellen, maddy — And, if I remember correctly, I think Ellen was an "eighties glam metal slut?"

I like to put off everything as long as possible, so I just slicked my hair back in preparation for painting my face like a skull. We played a fun card game called Such a Thing.

meredith — This one loves the games!

aileen, meredith — Aileen and her friend stopped by in their matching zebra outfits!

ellen, me — I like dressing up, but I don't really like all the planning and buying stuff that's involved in dressing up. So more often than not, I'll revert to a last-minute halloween costume with whatever's lying around.

This year I used some white face paint and a mascara pencil to go as SKULL FACE!

ellen, me — After I finished borrowing Ellen's eyeliner, she touched up her slutty 80s rocker make up!

ellen — Perfect!

Best year yet!

maddy, me — Maddy had a matching skeleton outfit. Awwwww, skull guy and skeledog!

maddy, me, meredith — Halloween Family Portrait! It took forever to get a photo of Maddy looking towards the camera because in between shots...

ellen, katie h, sarah — A little before 1am, we finally decide to head out into the Saturday night Halloween fray. (Meredith decided to stay in!).

...the Halloween party at Rose Bar.

Party was pretty fun...

...but we couldn't really find anyone we knew!

me, sarah — Me anzd Sarah roaming the crowd. A little before 2am we headed down to a party at the Bowery Hotel...

hot karla, me, niki — ...and met up wtih Niki and Karla who were dressed as matching night club "cigarette girls"

ellen, hot karla, katie h, niki, sarah — Sarah, Karla, Niki, Kaitie and Ellen.

3am dance floor.

ellen, niki, sarah — Karla and Niki's trays of assorted goodies were a little unwieldy on the dance floor.

hot karla — Karla had the perfect solution.

ellen — Ellen sums up her feelings about the guys that tried to dance with her. Haha.

A little after 3:30, we decided to see if we could squeak in another place before the night ended.

The street was littered with halloween casualties. Get a load of this joker!

posh tony, sarah — Downstairs at Cabin we ran into Posh Tony sans costume. Boo!

sarah — Sarah was excited about this guy's costume (but I have no idea what he was!).

Walking home in the cold drizzle at 5am.

Skull face is dying (for now).

Despite numerous face washings, I always have that "secret tranny" hint of make up around the eyes the next morning. Makes for an extra feisty kick off to November! Happy Halloween!

Hi Tara! I miss your stupid face. Yes, I met Nazita through you! Then when I emailed Nazita, she introduced me to Claire and I ended up seeing her a whole bunch all throughout Thailand. xoxoxoxo!
