elevator

elevator
...for a Gagopa karaoke night!
elevator
Elevator goodbye with Cass, Jen and Eric!
elevator
Back at my hotel that evening, I took the elevator down to the basement to visit...
elevator
Headed back upstairs to find my sleep mask and to try to get some sleep! Congratulations, Doug & Anni! <3
elevator
After I headed back to my hotel for a nap and to get dressed for the wedding! At 3pm I headed back over to the ferry.
elevator
On Friday I went to a fancy real estate holdings company on 5th Ave...
elevator
Leaving one of my client's on Wednesday afternoon and a thoughtful New Yorker had posted this note in the elevator trying to help someone get shoes that fit. I <3 NY.
elevator
...and tried to rope the soon-to-be-bride into a swim before the pool closed.
elevator
Back at the hotel, we all changed into our swimwear...
elevator
On Saturday morning, I got up early and headed over to the Shambhala Center to attend my fifth and final meditation weekend in their Way of Shambhala Curriculum.

If you've ever thought about learning to meditate, I can't recommend Shambhala or the Interdependence Project enough!
elevator
No hotel party can withstand a 3am manvasion like this.
elevator
...Cynthia and celebrate her birthday at the beach (instead of at the zoo).
elevator
Elevator party.
elevator
This photo is all about Nick's left leg. Hahaha.
elevator
Later that evening, Gravy & Mouth arrived...
elevator
Alright, give me angry! (Ellen shrugs! Hahah).
elevator
Waiting for the elevator at 50 W 23rd.
elevator
...we went over to the West Village...
elevator
...and we made a quick breakfast grocery run...
elevator
Bringing the scooter out of storage.
elevator
...and we all headed out together to say goodbye to Fran and Alex (they were headed back to London after a visit)!
elevator
...the puke in the corner! Hahaha.
elevator
We got into an elevator at the Tribeca Grand and the doors closed before we spotted...
elevator
Party people elevator, part one (the good part). 2:45am.
elevator
Skull face is dying (for now).
elevator
A little before 1am, we finally decide to head out into the Saturday night Halloween fray. (Meredith decided to stay in!).
elevator
Maddy doesn't have much fur so it doesn't take much cold to make her shiver uncontrollably. Meredith was stoked to have an excuse to begin experimenting with sewing dog clothes. All suited up!
elevator
We left our apartment a little after six thirty...
elevator
On the Friday night before the party, Meredith's mom organized ANOTHER party! It was an awesome fancy dinner at the restaurant at the MOMA. It gave us a chance to spend extra time with some of the friends and family that had traveled into town from far away. Here's a bunch of dinner guests headed up to dinner!
elevator
Back down to the room!
elevator
Taking the cable car elevator up the hill for some breakfast.
elevator
The hill is pretty much a 45-degree angle. Here's the view looking up the hill from inside the car! Very Temple of Doom.
elevator
After dinner, we ended up going just a few feet down the road and booking a bungalow at Saranam Eco Resort. The hotel's front desk is right off the road at the top of a mountain. In order to get down to the bungalows (which are at the BOTTOM of the mountain, you have to get in a little elevator car and a cable-winch slowly lowers the car down a railway laid on the hill.
elevator
Haha.
elevator
Scott and Leigh and over later that night.
elevator
Babes.
elevator
On Saturday afternoon, Meredith took a chair and folding table...
elevator
On Tuesday night, Meredith and I went crosstown...
elevator
...and she picked My Girl! Awwwwwww. Hahaha. Happy May!
elevator
Meredith had a little too much karaoke juice and had to hug the wall on the elevator ride home. Haha.
elevator
On Sunday we took the dogs to the dog park together for the first time!
elevator
I woke up Friday morning and it felt like somebody had chopped by head with an ax while I'd been sleeping. Before going into work, I ran out to the store and picked up a pair of crutches for Meredith.
elevator
Leaving Stuytown and heading to the airport on Tuesday afternoon.
elevator
The ride back down. Hahah.
elevator
On Wednesday night I went over to the new New Museum on Bowery for some art opening party that Leigh was hosting. There was a huge line around the block outside, but baby girl came downstairs and escorted me in. Awww, fwiends. On the elevator ride up to the top floor, we made faces in the mirror behind the crowd.
elevator
Haha. Elevator ride down.
elevator
Love, me, Amanda and Scott (Sorry about cutting off your head, BTW).
elevator
And even more people squeezed in on the other side!
elevator
A little after 7pm, we thanked Sarah for her hospitality and then all piled into Sarah's elevator to head out.
elevator
Gradulamated and all growsed up.
elevator
Mer got a little over zealous with the celebratin' and had to take a lil' T.O. on the elevator ride home.
elevator
I had Monday off of work! My buddy Jeff Scott was in town from Colorado to attend the toy convention at the Javits Center and invited us to come up and check it out.
elevator
...so a bunch of us piled into the elevator and decided to walk a couple more blocks downtown to check out some other PR-event kind of party that someone else knew about.
elevator
...and said farewell to Community Connect forever! Stephen M. was there to share my celebratory elevator ride out.
elevator
Waiting for the freight elevator to come down so that I can take my bike up into work. Not very exciting, I know. But sometimes I just take pictures of the boring mundane things I do every day because it helps me remember what that time in my life was like. So, there you go.
elevator
Elevator photo attempt #2: SUCCESS! I managed to cut Posh Tony mostly out of the photo!
elevator
Around 3am, we decided it was time to venture out into the wild in search of SNACKS! Elevator photo attempt #1: FAIL! (I cut off Matt's head).
elevator
I tried to take a group shot of us all in the elevator and failed miserably. Boo!
elevator
We all piled into the elevator and headed back up to Matt's suite...
elevator
On Saturday night I went over to Apt 3a to meet Sarah and Brandon and then we headed over to...
elevator
A few drinks (and a couple more wild dances later) we left the party to head to Misshapes to see Madonna.
elevator
...we drove back to NYC and then Fatty (and my Dad, not pictured!) helped Grant and I move all my stuff into my new place. Thanks so much, guys!
elevator
Earlier in the week I'd gotten a call from a headhunter about a job opening at a social networking company and on Friday I put on my suit (which is actually the suit I got go to a dance my sophomore year in high school that still fits perfectly...hahahah) and went in to Community Connect for an interview (I'll save you the suspense, I got the job).
elevator
We piled into the elevator and headed to the Delancey. (I love this photo).
elevator
After the party, Meredith and I went west and headed over to...
elevator
Tavis holds back an increasingly beligerent Special Sos in the elevator on the way up to the pool. Hahaha.
elevator
Yep, we're stuck.
elevator
Then I decided I'd climb up and find the "secret roof hatch" that every elevator in every movie always has. Yeah, our elevator didn't have one.
elevator
....or at least let him humor himself. Jesus.
elevator
After Grant got a look at the pics he took of me looking for the hatch he said "Hey, you look cool up there! Now take some pictures of me! I want to climb up there and look cool too!" (Yeah, too bad you think I'm kidding). What could I do but humor the kid....
elevator
There's some fancy-schmancy couple who lives in our building - Grant tried to get their attention by screaming "HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLP!" at the top of his lungs
elevator
Growing bored (and desperately needing some fresh air), I forced open the elevator doors to assess the situation.
elevator
After coming to the realization that we weren't going to die we decided we should probably start working on getting out the elevator. We pushed the "HELP" button and were promptly connected to repair company that maintains our elevator. The man we spoke to told us that he'd dispatched a mechanic and that he'd be there in 45-60 minutes. (45 minutes! Faaack! Keep in mind, we'd gotten in the elevator to go up to work because we both had to pee!). Further complicating matters, our building's front door is locked so the dispatch guy tells us we're going to have to get in touch with someone who can come down and let the elevator repair guy into our building.
elevator
Turns out, Grant had to do a little more than pee. He's all sitting in the corner scrunched up and I figure he's getting panicky again.
elevator
Nope! Turns out he was concentrating on not shitting his pants.
elevator
Too bad he couldn't have concentrated more on holding on to his noxious farts which promptly reached biohazardous levels in the 4' x 6' elevator.
elevator
Here's the first pic I snapped while Grant was still in what i believe is scientifically known as a full-on panic.
