Right when I got into Jersey later that night, I got a call from Kara Saks (who was home from Canada) and went out to meet them at a nearby bar. Here's Roxbury High School in full effect: Donna Grodeska, (Dennis Crowley lookalike) Brian Brunton, and Kara.
On Friday, I got another surprise call out of the blue: Kara Saks (who you may remember recently got married), was in New York City! She'd come down from Canada to take an weekend class in Princeton and wanted to see if I was around to get dinner in the West Village. So I left work a little early and met up with her and her brother Billy for some tasty Italian food.
Right at the end of the night, after bugging the crap out of her, we finally convinced Kara (who has the voice of an angel) to go up and sing a ditty with the band. (And I can't remember what she sang either...See? This is why I've gotta be better about keeping on top of this diary shit! I end up forgetting all the details).
Aha! I know all three names here! Kara, the bride to be, Little Brother Billy (who to this day insists it wasn't him that I saw on the MTV special I saw about "Real World Appliacant Rejects") and Amy Albano.
At this point, we've gone back to the apt, eaten our food and told everybody else about "the game." On the way out to the bar, we managed to snag this group shot of us with more unsuspecting bench occupants.
