Yup, here they are: all the pics I took in June that didn't end up in an entry of their own.
Sunday, June 4th
I have no idea why I was up at 7:12am on a Sunday - but that's what the time-stamp on this photo says. Anyway, here's a sad, sad photo of a dead dove. Awww.
Awww, yeah. This is the computer where all the I Keep a Diary magic happens! (Er, or at least this is what the set-up looked like back in June of 2006!). I was hard at work updating the site when Meredith convinced me to stop being a nerd and head up to Times Square (on a Friday night? Crazytown!) to go to...
...an indoor pool-party at the Hotel QT! (It's this really cute hotel that has a smallish indoor pool that's IN THE LOBBY and it even has a swim-up bar!). Here's Meredith making sexy-face in the water!
And here's me. I'm guessing that you can tell by our faces that the water in the pool wasn't exactly warm. I'd brought along my new waterproof camera (that Meredith got me as a gift for when I go scuba diving) and it allowed me go...
Fast forward two weeks later, and Grant and I went out for some lunch with Chris the Greek and Caesar, who were in town from Washington, DC and Italy respectively.
What's up, TWELVE YEARS LATER! Jeez! (PS - If you look in the background behind Michelle, you can see Don Hill! Dude's gotta be in his late 50s (at least!) and he's still at his own club every night until closing!)
The girls dropped me off first before heading up to their hotel. Thanks for such a fun night, ladies. And Michelle, I hope to see you again before another twelve years sneak by!
I met my friend Jack through his older sister Sarah. Jack plays bass in a band called Sam Champion and asked me if I'd shoot press photos for them! I was happy to oblige so on Sunday morning I headed out DUMBO to meet the band at their practice space!
...to do some exploring around DUMBO. Here's the guys standing in front of some gated mansion that I think might actually have been the NYC governor's mansion way, way back in the day.
And then I stayed at home and watched Saturday Night Fever, you know, so I could work on my moooooves. (Actually, now that I look at this pic I can't decide if it's really Saturday Night Fever or if it's the scene in Top Secret (aka - The best movie of all time) where they parody the main dance scene in Saturday Night Fever). Well, either way, I was working on my moves.
Even Grant was there (suckling Josh's teat, no less)! This might not seem like a big deal to you, but that's because you don't know that Grant HATES going out to sweaty, smoky clubs late at night. In fact, the only time "Party Grant" ever makes an appearance is when there's a specific piece of ass he's trying to woo.
Lizzie had just packed up all her stuff and moved from Hawaii. She was in NYC for a few weeks visiting before heading down to South Carolina to live with her boyfriend.
Here's "Party Grant" making his way across the dance floor like a boner-guided missle! (PS - The last recorded appearance of "Party Grant" was at Lotus in December of 2002!)
If you're a fan of The Office (UK version) you might think that Grant's pulling a David Brent. But what he's actually doing is pointing at the reason why still he's out "in da club" dancing at 3am. Hahaha.
