On Friday morning, I opened the door to my office and was hit in the face by a wall of steam! The radiator valve had somehow gotten turned and the tiny room was like being inside of a cloud.
I took this picture for Lisa because of something she told me that makes me laugh every time I think about it. She told me that when she's walking home at night in Manhattan and there's some big steam pipe coming up out of the street and it's billowing steam everywhere she feels like New York is trying way too hard to be "New Yorky." And she's disgusted by it.
"Ugh, alright, New York. I get it, ok? You're New York." Haha.
A half an hour or so later, we started seeing this huge steam cloud on the horizon. We wondered if it could be the spa, but we we're like "Nah, it can't be noticible from this far away." But as we got closer, we discovered we were wrong - the huge naturally heated pools were throwing up immense clouds of steam visible from miles away.
