house
It's funny that we relate to places we used to live as old friends. I remember my dad's Mustang parked out front of the house. I had night terrors when I was a kid and when I couldn't sleep he'd drive me around the neighborhood.
house
Thanks for letting me stroll down memory lane, kind strangers!
house
The next morning we got up early and drove over to Meredith's aunt's house...

Whatever nervousness I was feeling after learning that SF was a lot smaller than I'd previously thought was quickly washed away when I arrived at my temporary home. Check this place out! My good friends Alysha (who I met working at ModemMedia back in '98) and her awesome boyfriend Brian were in Paris for a month and graciously invited me to crash at their place while I apartment hunted.
house
Their street is only a block long and is one of those crazy-ass 45 degree angled streets that the city is famous for. Here's the pic I took from their porch while daydreaming about the buns of steel I'd soon be developing by walking around their neighborhood.

Tuesday morning we got up bright and early: eager to explore our surroundings. (Keep in mind, there are like NO LIGHTS on the ranch. We'd arrived in the dark and hadn't even really been able to get a good look at where we were staying). Here's Ross and Jord's ranch house from the back.

Another one of the houses on the land. The guy that owns this house is the Italian studies professor at UCLA. All of the stones used to build this Italian-style house were brought over from Tuscany. (For real).

After the ceremony, Brett and I went back to his house so he could change out of his robes.

This is my house. 111 Redfield Place. Syracuse, NY. It's blue. See those three little windows up top? That's the attic apartment where I sit writing this.
