los angeles
Up early on Sunday to catch my flight back home.
los angeles
...and then met up with Andrew...
los angeles
Got a call from Ty and as luck would have it, I was a walkable distance to his house.
los angeles
Do you know what hotel security at the Ritz Carlton says when they catch you hiding out smoking a joint in the corner right next to the NO SMOKING sign?
los angeles
...and swirly buildings.
los angeles
Night babes.
los angeles
Near our hotel in downtown LA was this huge, lit up square. Bright as Times Square, but with NO PEOPLE around. Very strange.
los angeles
...TOE BANG!
los angeles
They had really neat fruit-juice infused soju pitches filled in the middle with ice.
los angeles
...Karen and I headed to K-town to meet up with Ollie for some delicious Korean food and soju drinks. Karen was excited because...
los angeles
While Gurj did some business-lady stuff...
los angeles
Got to the hotel around 5. Been a while since I've had a hotel slumber party with these two!
los angeles
Palm trees & highways.
los angeles
Six hours and ten minutes after departure: Los Angeles!
los angeles
And left! Check out the view of downtown LA from her porch. Pretty sweet, right?
los angeles
Not! Hahah.
los angeles
Sunday morning we had a little time to kill before heading to the airport, so we drove around LA. Look kids, Mann's Chinese Theater!
los angeles
On Saturday, Grant had to go to VH1 and do voice-over work for his TV show, so Fatty and I decided to wander down Melrose. Check out what we saw in Starbucks: it's a shirtless guy, wearing overalls, a stoooopid Paddington bear hat, sunglasses INDOORS and holding a walking stick while he's SITTING DOWN AND PLAYING CHESS! Oh my god, I call this photo "EVERY SINGLE REASON I DON'T LIVE IN LOS ANGELES."
los angeles
Why is it that every dude in LA walks around in little matching denim outfits (complete with mesh caps)? He looks like he bought all his fucking clothes at Baby Gap.
los angeles
I was trying to take a photo of Grant biting the giant "Randy's Donuts" sign but right at the last minute, this big truck came into the pic almost blocking at I had to yell "Go high! Go high!" to even get the Donut in the pic. Mmmmm. Donuts.
los angeles
LA's all palm trees...and four lane highways.

On the car ride home we found this one street where all the home were done up all crazy like this for Christmas. It was neato.

Speaking of funny guys, check out the dude we met on the street as we left the place. His name was Brian as well. He wears his sunglasses at night.

The masses of humanity will always have to suffer. You tell 'em, Dr. Graffin.

After a few aspirin and several liters of water *whew*, we hopped in the car and drove out to Ross & Jordana's house in the valley where we also met up with Emma Taylor and Lorelei Sharkey who were in LA for two days as part of their book tour.
los angeles
Ross, me and Kate.
los angeles
After a tour of their killer house...
los angeles
Saturday morning, I met up with Laura (aka - Special Sos) and her new man Tavis (who is a rad graphic designer) for breakfast. Afterwards, we went back to the hotel, met up with Kate and hung out at the pool for most of the day.
los angeles
After getting my calls out of the way, I decided to head up to the Standard's rooftop pool which I'd heard so much about. The place didn't disappiont. Not only was it amazing, it was practically deserted.
los angeles
After a quick dip in the edgeless pool...
los angeles
After my swim, I met up with Louis and we headed over to one of the big entertainment's movie lots (where our meeting was taking place). We had some time to kill before the meeting started so we walked around their "New York City" lot and I snapped this pic of "Mulberry & Grand St." (which in real life is three blocks from my apartment).
los angeles
Check out the shaded, water-beds! Insanity.
los angeles
Tuesday night I hopped a flight to LA for a bunch of meetings. And the wonderous Kate Hill (recently transplanted from Boston and shown here posing with her bitching new ride) was gracious enought to pick me up at the airport (and chaffeur my ass around town).
