...I spotted Kate again in the very next episdoe of How I Met Your Mother!
kate h
On Thursday afternoon, I was catching up on email and watching one of the final episodes of How I Met Your Mother, when suddenly, a familiar face appeared between two principles...
kate h
...it's Kate! (This was the first time I'd seen her face since 2008!)
kate h
Place was totally empty and we got to sing some jams right away. That's the best. Here's Kate killing Shoop by Salt-N-Pepa.
kate h
Kate Hill was in town! I hadn't seen her in years. We went out and caught up and then decided to go sing some karaoke at 2am.

Here's us kicking off the night right with a duet of Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart"
kate h
Special guest star (in town visiting from LA), Kate Hill!

kate h
Friday night Kate Hill was in town from LA and Laurie Choi was in town from DC. A whole buncha us met up at Drinkland to catch up. L to R: Emily, Laurie and Jen (The Sisters Choi), and Kate.
kate h
After breakfast, we went back to Ross & Jord's and did a little swimming. Emma and Kate soaked up rays...
kate h
Ross, me and Kate.
kate h
After a tour of their killer house...
kate h
Sunday morning we felt like, well, like we should've felt considering the amount of drinking we'd done the night before. A bewildered Kate holds up a pair of panties she found on the floor that don't belong to her. Huh?
kate h
...and an acrobatics show.
kate h
Kate and Laura quickly became friends and made a mockery of the boys at the pool table.
kate h
Our plan was to hang out at Laura and Tavis' and then head out on the town. But before we knew it, it was well past 1am (last call in LA is at 1:30am)...
kate h
Me and the Smidge.
kate h
After a few rounds of drinks, Stephanie and Gabe (Tavis and Laura's nextdoor neighbors) came over to join the festivities.
kate h
Sha-sha-shitfaced in the afternoon!
kate h
After showers and naps for everyone, we met up again later that night for...
kate h
Friday night I headed out with Kate - but after only one drink, jetlag caught up with me and I had to head home early. *sniffle*
kate h
True to form, Louis and I hopped on our plane to LA with no hotel booked. The lovely Kate Hill was kind enought to suggest that we stay at the Downtown Standard. Shortly after checking in, she took a cab to the hotel and we hit the town.
kate h
Before heading out, we went by Kate's new apartment (but we had to be very careful not to wake her neighbors.)
kate h
Tuesday night I hopped a flight to LA for a bunch of meetings. And the wonderous Kate Hill (recently transplanted from Boston and shown here posing with her bitching new ride) was gracious enought to pick me up at the airport (and chaffeur my ass around town).
kate h
Yep, here's where I spend 70% of my entire LA-trip...in the fucking car. (Thanks again Kate; you're a peach).
kate h
The first thing she did was take me to In-N-Out Burger and school me in West Coast Fast Food.
kate h
Note my red-ass, totally sunburned face.
kate h
Wah-wiggity wasted.
kate h
After spending the afternoon collecting the sun's energy with my face, I decided to impress the ladies by releasing a red, wavy death-ray from my eyes.
kate h
Good luck on the Left Coast, Kate Hill! The end.
kate h
Here's Kate wearing "The Hat." (She had left this in my car like 2 years ago and I found it my hatchback buried under a ton of shit.) SEXXXY!
kate h
Later that night, Kate, Erin, their friend who's name I've since forgotten (sorry) and myself all headed over to StartBoston to say hi to Gibby and rock out to a Smiths cover band that were playing in honor of Morrisey's Birthday .
kate h
Taxi ride home.
kate h
Kate and me.
kate h
And here's Kate eight minutes later passed the fuck out.
kate h
Right when I got off the highway and into Boston, I called Kate to ask where I should meet her. Answering the phone, she barely managed to slur a hello. Turns out a few hours earlier, she had been trying to light a match without removing it from the matchbook (kids, let this be a lesson) and the whole book ignited burning her hand pretty badly. She and her roommate Erin promptly headed to the bar across the street to try to ease the pain. By the time I showed up - she was definitely no longer feeling any pain. Here's Kate right after we got back to her place.
kate h
The next day we walked all over Boston, and then on the way back to Kate's stopped at the "BU beach" to enjoy the nice weather.
kate h
Reconciliation.
kate h
What's up it's only 4:30pm? Haha!
kate h
Kate and Sarah in the cab. Actually, after this photo was taken, Sarah headed back uptown and Kate and I went over to Lakeside Lounge for the party's after party.
kate h
My two dates!
kate h
Kate flashing her sparkly-sticker-covered boobies.
kate h
Kate and I walking around Manhattan that afternoon. She had just moved to NYC two-days earlier after being away in London for the previous six months.
kate h
Um....yeah.
kate h
...and then here we are, sloppy drunk, six hours later after we had just left the party.
kate h
Here's a pic of us right before we got to the party...
kate h
Kate and Sarah strut their stuff in their skimpy string-tied shirts.
kate h
Well into the night.
kate h
Uh-oh, she knows what's coming...
kate h
Okay, now we're back in London. Here's Kate with her housemates celebrating her 21st birthday. They hung that big, yellow sign around her neck to help her keep track of the 21 drinks she was required to consume (and yes, she did make it).
kate h
Some nice gentleman sold us a giant, hand-rolled cigarette that made us feel all funny. The only thing I can figure is that we had some bizarre allergic reaction to the Danish tobacco.
kate h
On our first night in town, we decided to seek out the area where all the derelicts hung out...and we were quickly directed to Christiania.
kate h
Kate, waterfront at the Little Mermaid statue.
kate h
Toilet time!
kate h
Kate and I in front of, uhhhh, some buildings.
kate h
Kate walking down the street after our "fancy" Valentine's Day dinner at an Italian restaurant. (Just so you don't have to learn the hard way like we did, if you're in London and you're craving a nice Italian meal; fly to Italy.)
kate h
This guy was standing perfectly still like a statue. That is until Kate walked over to give him some money and as she bent down, he stamped his foot and screamed at the top of his lungs. After I was finished laughing..I kicked his fucking mime-ass.
kate h
Us in Copenhagen. Look at that beautiful skyline!
kate h
Right when I landed in Londed, we decided that we were going to take a trip to somewhere else in Europe. At the travel agency we randomly decided on a weekend in Copenhagen. Bag packed, Coke in hand, Kate gets ready to depart for Heathrow. (Ask me about the malt-liquor-swilling, dog-food-vomit-smelling guy who made us gag the whole tube ride over to the airport.)
kate h
Day Six: One of the bartenders at our resort was originally from Boston. He and his girlfriend randomly decided one day to pack up everything and move to St. Thomas. They offered to take us and some other couples a little older than us out to one of the local beaches that day and we gladly accepted.
kate h
Here's us back at our resort posing with Blackbeard the pirate. I think we might have been a little drunk.
kate h
Wearing the Asshole crown. Kate was forced to kiss and worship my Presidential feet.
kate h
Then someone busted out some pretty serious rum punch and we ended up playing Asshole.
kate h
After a day at the beach, we headed back to the couple's house (I've since forgotten all these peoples' names, doh!) to some dinner and hang out. Kate and I on their balcony. Their house was at the top of one of highest points of St. Thomas and overlooked the water and several other islands.
kate h
Kate strikes some cutie-patootie bathing suit poses.
kate h
Day Seven was a travel day. We had to wake up early to catch our flight back to JFK and the cold weather.
kate h
Down on the same beach seen in the pic above.
kate h
On day five we took the ferry over to St. John's to check out some of the other beaches. This pic was taken on the shuttle that took us from the ferry to the beach.
kate h
Later on, we took a 65-foot deep scuba dive around some of the local reefs. .
kate h
Kate, myself and some local fish.
kate h
Here's the bottom near the edge of the reef. You can't really tell from these pictures (because the blue overpowers everything else) but the colors down there were amazing.
kate h
On the way down...
kate h
Here's me back on shore being laughed at by Kate 7 mintes later because I couldn't even naviage the boat out of the cove I was in. (There was a cross wind! A cross wind I tell you!).
kate h
Later that evening Kate traveled back in time to visit me at age 8. (This was some poor kid who was there at the resort with his parents. There were NO OTHER KIDS there for him to play with. We felt bad...so we got him drunk.
kate h
Kate teaches the Caribbean a thing or two about Karaoke.
kate h
I was so drunk I almost threw up on her stomach trying to choke down a buch of spray whipped cream mixed with whatever it was that they poured into her belly button. But hey, FREE DRINKS!
kate h
After we got our drink on, we headed to another bar across the street. Right when we walked in the door they told us that if did a body shot off of Kate, we'd both drink free all night. A whip-creamed Kate awaits..
kate h
Aw yeah.
kate h
After resting up the first night, we decided to hit the town on our second night. We asked for the local "hot spot" and were promptly directed to some Cabana-type bar in the middle of a strip mall parking lot....where we met this guy, the drunkest guy ever. He was from England and wanted us to call him should we ever visit. He wrote his number down on a 20 pound note in the most illegible handwriting I've ever seen.
kate h
Gratuitous heine shot.
kate h
This was taken in at Kate's apartment in Boston right before we left Bean town to drive down to JFK.
kate h
I was standing in the water with Kate and all of sudden she started jumping around and screaming because something was on her foot...which turned out to be a startfish. Right after I took this photo I promptly ripped off all of its arms. That'll teach him! NOBODY messes with MY girl!
kate h
We landed a day earlier than our scheduled check-in at the resort so we spent the first night in a beachside hotel near the airport. Fresh out of the water Kate poses on our room's porch (a photo which resulted in me locking ourselves out of our room).
kate h
Day three back at Meghan's Bay.
kate h
In the water at Meghan's Bay.
kate h
Day two. Here's the view from our insanely nice cliff-perched condo at Bluebeard's resort.
kate h
Eveything was running on schedule right up to the last leg of our trip to the airport when we realized that the Belt Parkway was closed. We ended up having to take some crazy ass detour and as a result we didn't arrive in time for our flight's check in. I showed up at the gate and the woman at the counter starts shaking her head and goes "Uh-uh." I was like "What do you mean 'Uh-uh'?"...then I had a heart attack. It turns out there was another flight and she hooked us up. Here's us with our newly issued tix.
