After I'd finished gawking at Notre Dame, I crossed La Seine and walked 20 minutes west... Busted out my guidebook and decided to walk from Sylvie's neighborhood... Sylvie had to get up early for work, and left me to snooze off my jetlag. I showered and made it outside for some exploring by 1pm. After a few drinks, we walked over to... ...out to Brooklyn... When the weather is decent and I don't have to see clients in the morning, Maddy insists on... On Thursday I had lunch with my friend Happy who was in town visiting from LA, and her friend Christine. Afterwards, we walked up to the "plant district" to check out... All bundled up and trudging through the snow for a late night... Snow in early November! After working up an appetite we headed to il Giardino in Forked River... ...to The New York Botanical Garden ! ...the Bronx. Then walked another 10 blocks or so... On Sunday morning Meredith, Grant and myself... Jared and Gurj came by on Saturday afternoon and picked up me, Mer & Quinn in the East Village. We grabbed some ice coffees and then headed to the car. Getting ready to enter the huge pavillion. After finishing up work in the morning, I had the afternoon free. Meredith and I decided to walk up Ave C... Spent the lovely spring day riding my bike around town to meet with two different consulting clients . After our meal, we signed up for a tour of the farm! After squaring that away, we decided to spend the day exploring Manila around our hotel. Manila is not a pedestrian-friendly city so his was advanced-level stuff! We walked down Roxas Blvd to... Later that evening, I walked a few blocks down to the LES... Early on Monday morning, Grant arrived on the red eye from Vancouver. He dropped his bag off at our apt and we... Rainbow gumstain. West Village errands. Orange lion door in Chelsea. Taking me on a walk. On Saturday afternoon I walked over to East 4th st... On Saturday afternoon we trudged through the newly-fallen snow... ...and interesting. Really neat plaster work... ...and gargoyles! I spent my time walking around Hudson River park. ...but this time they sent us out into the wild to practice walking meditation on the mean streets of New York. As always, I couldn't help but snap a few pictures of the things I thought were beautiful... After a morning of working from home... More and more of my days only... East Village sky. The next morning, we headed to an early breakfast with my family! After finishing up my work for the morning... After cleaning up my cut... Maddy is a big fan of her new evening walk routine. ...to cart over all the books to the second-hand bookstore on St. Marks! We met up on 14th Street... Later that evening, we met up with Ellen, Cat and Mark! Taking the pooch to the park. I was up early and headed to the subway to meet Cat at the beach. On Thursday I headed out to Williamsburg for another day of customer interviews! These two were stopped at a traffic light and I asked if I could take a photo of their awesomeness. So good! Maddy found a scent while we were out walking on Tuesday night and led me a long chase that eventually led us to... Neato. Walking home up Avenue C, there was a building that had umbrellas all over it. Perfect. The next morning we walked over to Mission... ...then made our way over to see about... A little over an hour later we were fresh as daisies... Around 5:30, we got a call from Jared that he'd just arrived in town and was headed over to Mike & Tanya's place to meet up with us! Yay! Luckily, no one was hurt too badly! ...and was well over forty feet away! ...had flipped over... The other car... ...because of some crazy accident. Looks like that car made a left in front of a car that was coming down the hill. On our walk down one of those crazy steep streets, we noticed traffic had been closed off.. We decided to walk north up to check out the view of Alcatraz from the top of the hill. We woke up to a drizzly Saturday afternoon and headed down to the Mission... And then a few blocks further, 166 Sanchez where I ended up living for about five months! ...has some pretty special specialty shops. Oh, hello there crystal dildo ! Haight Street...
